How to know if the instructor is legitimate.

If you've scrolled through Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, you've probably seen many different fitness coaches and trainers, but how do you know if a trainer is legit or not?

Over the years I have seen hundreds of people start selling online training and nutrition programs with ZERO certifications, ZERO experience training real clients and NO OVERSIGHT.

This is not only misleading, it is dangerous.

Helping guide someone's training and nutrition is a huge responsibility and I don't take it lightly.

So, whether you work out with me Move Or choose another plan, here's why you should make sure it's with a certified personal trainer.

Why train with a certified personal trainer?

An instructor certified through a nationally recognized program such as NASM must take intensive courses and tests to become educated in:

  • Basic Applied Science
  • Human Movement Science
  • Fitness assessment
  • Program design and optimal performance training (OPT) model
  • Speed, agility, and quickness training
  • Nutritional Best Practices
  • Customer interaction and professional development

Like many professions, we need to complete a certain amount of continuing education to ensure we stay up-to-date on the latest technology, research and training methods.

I have personally completed over 20 different training specializations including prenatal training, agility, yoga and recently received a new certification in behavioral. Change expert from NASM.

Not all certificates are created equal.

Whether you are looking for an instructor or to prove yourself, make sure you find a program that is nationally recognized.

It's really the only way to be sure it's 100% legit and meets the highest training standards.

The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) One of the most respected and prestigious companies and where I get my certifications.

If you are looking to expand your knowledge or become an instructor yourself, definitely check them out.
