In the episode "Baywatch" "now sitting right back and you will hear a story" (February 24, 1992), Eddie (Billy Warlock) and Shauna (Erika Eleniak) are out into the ocean trying to rescue a jet-ski-ski. When they discover an island they have not noticed so far. Going to the shore, they discover that two people have been living on the island, blocked away from shore, for decades. They are Mary Ann (Down Wales) And Gilligan (Bob Denver), the same characters seen on the 1964 Sitom "Island of Gilligan".
Wait, what? Aren't these invented characters? Gilligan and Mary Ann explain that their experiences as stuck on the unknown desert island are very realistic. Shauni wonders: “I thought you were just a TV show! But everyone somehow allows the unrealistic of the situation to pass. No further questions are being asked about how Gilligan and Mary Ann were filmed or how their footage was turned into a 1964 CBS humorous series.
However, there is a practical reason for how Gilligan and Mary Ann are on this California island, rather than the original island where their show was held. The couple seems to have arrived on the secondary island after the professor managed to build a two -person boat, allowing them to escape their initial tropical home. They complain that people were constantly coming to their island (regular appearance on the "island of Giligan"), but they never found a way to escape. However, with the arrival of Eddie and Shauna, their prayers seem to be finally answered.
As soon as Gilligan and Mary Ann return to the mainland, they still meet the thrilled Captain Thorpe (Monte Markam) who is a huge fan of the Island Giligan and he simply received a lottery. With his newly found treasure, he wants to produce his own version of the Giligan Island, with Giligan and Mary Ann. It's all a very target, as it was modern in the 1990s.
The episode of the island of Gilligan from Baywatch was targeted and unpleasant.
On the Thorpe version of the "Island of Gilligan", Thorpe, now a millionaire, will stand in place of Mr Howell. Shauni will play Ginger, Garner (Gregory Allen Williams) will play the captain, and Harvey (Tom Maktig) will play the professor. It seems like Mrs. Howell in his version of the show. Eddie would also be marked, but he would play a secondary Gilligan. Of course, one of Thorpe's ideas would include shooting on a real boat and you might be able to predict what happened afterwards. The boat seems to hit bad weather, and the seven characters were taken out of the course on a real desert island. It was "Giligan Island" again, only with the characters of "Beyvoch".
(It should be noted that "now sitting right back" is happening in a world where the followings of the TV films "Giligan" of the 1970s and 1980s never happened. Again, and opening a resort, no one seems of those events is not referred to Baywatch.)
Of course, there is an explanation for all these strange jokes. It seems that Eddie just slipped on his rescue ramp at the beginning of the episode and was knocked out. It was all a dream. He did not actually communicate with Gilligan and Mary Ann, but only imagined how they would look in 1992. Thorpe announces that he really won the lottery, but the prize was only $ 58.
"Now Sitting Immediately Back" is written by Lloyd J. Schwartz, son of "Island Giligan" creator Sherwood Schwartz. Lloyd's TV included work with his father, and the couple worked on that Many "Brady Bunch" projects. Together as producers, including stage musicals. Lloyd also wrote episodes of "Alice" and "The A-Team" besides his episode "Baywatch".
Like the "Island of Gilligan", "now sitting right back" was made in good entertainment, reminding the audience that "Beevoch" is a direct stupid show. And Denver and Wales were very sporty. They were just as committed as ever.
