Barely back from more than a decade long hiatus from Hollywood, Cameron Diaz he is said to be reconsidering leaving the industry.

The veteran actress recently returned to Netflix's action-comedy thriller, "Back in Action," but was inundated with online comments about her appearance.

The comments, which Cameron Diaz reportedly considers "misogynistic" and "sexist," have her questioning whether the "exposure" after her comeback is worth it.

After an 11-year hiatus, Cameron Diaz recently returned to Hollywood, starring in "Back in Action" alongside Jamie Foxx, who reportedly inspired her comeback.

Not surprisingly, her return made her more visible to the public, especially during multiple promotional interviews for the film.

Amid the uproar, some fans criticized her appearance, speculating that the actress had undergone plastic surgery. Some even searched terms like "Cameron Diaz facelift", "Cameron Diaz plastic surgery" and "Cameron Diaz age" online.

Now the actress is said to be deeply unhappy with the focus on her appearance and has confided in a friend that she is considering another Hollywood retirement.

"Cam is wondering if the exposure is worth it. It's like nothing has changed during her stay," the source said Radar Online.

They added: "It's the same misogynistic and sexist nonsense about her looks. She's furious and wants to hide for another decade."

In the past, Diaz has insisted that she has never gone under the knife. However, she once admitted that she had botox injections, but she hated how it turned out.

For years during her hiatus, Diaz refused requests to return, and only decided to return when Foxx contacted her.

"I thought if I was going to go back and make a movie, the only person I was going to go back and do it with would be this guy," Diaz said in an interview with Empire.

She added: "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I always said: "No. I don't do that, I told you... What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!"'

The two previously starred in the classic "Annie" and have been friends for 25 years.

In "Back to Action" they play married ex-spies who are forced to return to their past after their secret identities are revealed.

During the interview, Diaz also revealed that she is hesitant to pursue many more acting projects in the future.

"I don't know how I look at it. It's hard to say," Diaz said. "If I say that, then it becomes this. I reserve the right to say no to making a movie ever again, and I reserve the right to say yes if I choose to."

She added: "I don't define anything. I'm just open to whatever makes sense for me and my family at any given time."

In a recent interview with her brother-in-law, Joel Madden, on his "Artist Friendly" podcast, Diaz talked about her relationship and credit therapy as a key factor in the strength of her nine-year marriage to Benji Madden.
