The veteran actress recently returned to Netflix's action-comedy thriller, "Back in Action," but was inundated with online comments about her appearance.

The comments, which Cameron Diaz reportedly considers "misogynistic" and "sexist," have her questioning whether the "exposure" after her comeback is worth it.

After an 11-year hiatus, Cameron Diaz recently returned to Hollywood, starring in "Back in Action" alongside Jamie Foxx, who reportedly inspired her comeback.

Not surprisingly, her return made her more visible to the public, especially during multiple promotional interviews for the film.

Amid the uproar, some fans criticized her appearance, speculating that the actress had undergone plastic surgery. Some even searched terms like "Cameron Diaz facelift", "Cameron Diaz plastic surgery" and "Cameron Diaz age" online.

Now the actress is said to be deeply unhappy with the focus on her appearance and has confided in a friend that she is considering another Hollywood retirement.

She added: "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I always said: "No. I don't do that, I told you... What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!"'

The two previously starred in the classic "Annie" and have been friends for 25 years.
