Tish Cyrus is battling anxiety amid her journey away from weed

At 57, Tish is embracing a new lifestyle to tackle her anxiety head-on, swapping old habits for healthier alternatives. The music manager is said to be exercising, doing yoga and meditating, all in an effort to stay grounded in 2025.
However, going without her weed has been a daily rollercoaster, but she's reportedly committed to staying the course. The source said Tish misses the temporary help marijuana once gave her, even though it's no longer a viable option for her.
"Tish is struggling. She misses being able to relax and smoke a joint and have her anxiety go away, but unfortunately, she can't do that anymore because smoking actually makes her anxiety worse," says the source In Touch.

Cyrus Matriarch has opened up about quitting Weed
Despite her struggles with anxiety, Tish didn't just quit smoking weed recently – she first said she quit last year. The manager first revealed in October 2024 that she had quit smoking weed five months earlier.
This change led to a significant change for her and her daughter Brandi, as they rebranded their podcast from "Sorry We're Stoned" to "Sorry We're Cyrus." During the Jan. 2 episode of their revamped podcast, Tish shared how her decision to quit marijuana happened by accident.
"I quit smoking by accident. I went on vacation, and it was a place where I couldn't do weed, and after three days, (I had) the worst anxiety I've ever had in my life. And when I tried to smoke again... No," she revealed.

Miley Cyrus swore off mother weed after an intense experience

Miley may have introduced her mother to weed, but things have taken a big turn. Although the matriarch's stash has gained a reputation, Miley admitted it's now something she avoids entirely.
The Blast announced that during last year's guest appearance on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman," the singer talked about a wild encounter with her mother's strength. "I don't smoke my mom's weed anymore," Miley admitted, before adding:
“The last time I smoked her weed was a few weeks ago, and I went in and had the smallest trip ever, and I couldn't drive for like three days, and I didn't know who I was. "
Although she now avoids Tisha's weed, Miley joked that she pretends to eat it. "I usually pretend it's cool for my mom," she admitted.
The 'Hannah Montana' star reflected on her emotional role at Tisha's wedding
Miley has always been there for her mother in all situations, from introducing her to weed to helping her quit. But in August 2023, Miley took on an even more significant role – maid of honor at Tisha's wedding to Dominic Purcell.
The actress told how emotional that day was, delighted to see her mom so happy and in love. "Seeing my mom so happy and in love is very emotional for me," Miley admitted.
Miley couldn't help gushing about the pair's bond, describing their love as "sweet" and "genuine" and noting that Tish feels like a new beginning.
Not only did Miley serve as maid of honor, but she also had the honor of walking Tish down the aisle in a stunning ceremony in Malibu.

Tish Cyrus and Dominic Purcell turn to therapy amid family drama

Despite Miley's unwavering support of her mother's marriage to Purcell, their union was not without controversy. In March, whispers surfaced that Tisha's youngest daughter, Noa, was romantically linked to the actor before her mother started dating him.
The Blast reported that while neither of them have publicly addressed the alleged love triangle, insiders revealed how the couple handled the conflict. A source close to Tish and Dominic said they are "working together on communication and seeking therapy" to rebuild their relationship.
Another insider revealed that the drama initially "pushed them apart," making therapy an essential step in their healing process. However, emotional wounds will take time to heal, the source added.
Even in the face of anxiety and family drama, Tish Cyrus proves that change is possible with the support of loved ones.
