Kanye West reportedly racked up significant property tax debt, totaling $365,000, due to unpaid taxes on his residences and Yeezy headquarters.
The rapper recently bought a $35 million Beverly Hills mansion for himself and his wife, Bianca Censors.
However, Kanye West has seemingly decided to stay out of the country as he continues to travel the world with her.

Kanye West racked up a big property tax bill

West has run up massive property tax debt on at least six of his properties, totaling about $365,000 in unpaid taxes.
While the exact timeline for the unpaid taxes remains unclear, reports suggest that West's tax bill has been inflated by monthly penalties of $3,272.
According to US SunThe "Donda" rapper will also have to pay up to $82,662 by April 10 for some of his properties in Los Angeles. Otherwise, he will be fined by the Los Angeles County Treasurer and Tax Collector.
It remains unknown whether he intends to settle the debt or contest the charges due to his extended absence from the country.

Overview of property tax law benchmarks

West racked up the largest tax bill on his $6.7 million Yeezy headquarters in West Hollywood, which was left empty after he tore the roof off for renovations.
The total debts on the abandoned property amount to $161,071, and the rapper was additionally sentenced to a fine of $1,435 per month.
He also owes about $39,500 and $358 a month in penalties on a church building he bought for $1.5 million in Northridge. According to US SunWest has never paid taxes on the property since he bought it in January 2023.
His six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom ranch home in Calabasas also has debt as "Vultures 1" owes $94,364 with penalties of $1,103 a month.

West's second home in Calabasas, a three-bed, four-bathroom property, has a tax debt of $51,179 starting in 2023 and penalties of $1,013 a month. The rapper got both properties after his divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The three-bed Westlake townhouse he owns also has $6,240 in arrears since December, along with his $14.5 million ranch in Wyoming, which owes $13,215 in taxes with unknown penalty costs.

Kanye West bought a new mansion in Beverly Hills

It comes after the rapper recently purchased a large mansion in Beverly Hills for $35 million.
The 20,000 square foot estate has stunning features including an outdoor pool, tennis court, entertainment pavilion connected to the main house, pool house and gazebo.
Reports suggest that he and his wife Bianca Censori are yet to move into the stunning property amid his extended absence from the country, reportedly for fear of facing several mounting legal claims against him.
A source told the Daily Mail that they bought the 11-bedroom, 18-bathroom property as a "last ditch effort" to save their marriage while trying to create a "down-to-earth" life together.

Rapper's wife wants 'Stability'

West and Censori were previously rumored to be divorcing, as the Australian beauty was said to want "stability" in their marriage.
However, those rumors were squashed after the couple bought their new home together.
"Bianca has been wanting stability for over a year now," a source told the outlet. "This house was a last ditch effort to save their marriage because Kanye knows what he wants and that's a family and to be grounded. But her family doesn't know if Kanye will give her this."
They continued: "Kanye changes daily about what he wants to do and that house was bought with the intention of living in it."
Kanye West has been abroad for a long time

West has seemingly pitched his tents in Tokyo, Japan, while still staying out of the US.
Sources previously suggested he was doing so because he was "terrified" of being drawn into the sex-crime controversy that has plagued his former friend Sean "Diddy" Combs.
He was also seen last week buying snacks at a 7-Eleven store with his three children: Saint, Psalm and Chicago, who were all holding the bag of snacks they bought.
Meanwhile, an insider who spoke to Daily Mail said Censori is "sick of jumping from hotel to hotel and city to city" and that she "hasn't had any stability since she married Kanye," adding that the sexual assault lawsuit they both face from his former employee , "she is stressed."
