Subpoena for Kyle Richards amid multiple abuse claims

Eduardo has been served with a subpoena to answer some questions in a case involving allegations of domestic violence by his former romantic partner. Court documents reveal that Simin has requested his appearance at an upcoming court hearing as they both face allegations of abuse.

A hearing is scheduled for later this month. Simin accused the elder Umanski of physically, verbally and emotionally abusing her while they dated for nearly two decades.

Last year, Mauricio, 54, and his sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, asked to put Eduardo under supervision. They accused Šimin of keeping him from his family and exploiting him.

The court appointed Mauricio and Sharon as joint conservators of Eduardo's estate. Sharon then filed a restraining order against Simin, alleging that her father's ex-partner had been physical with her.

Simin denied the allegations and filed her own motion for a restraining order against Sharon. after all, The Blast reported that a judge had granted a permanent restraining order in Sharon's favor.

Sharon then filed a restraining order against Simin on Eduardo's behalf. The petition states that Simin "verbally, physically and financially" abused Eduardo for years.

Sharon said the first signs of threats and abuse appeared about 10 years ago, but it was challenging to fully understand what was going on. Around August or September 2022, the situation began to worsen.

After Sharon made a reasonable argument in court, Eduardo ended up getting a temporary restraining order against his ex-partner.

Simin countered by filing a petition for a "Restraining Order for Elderly Dependent Adult Abuse." She described Eduardo as her ex-boyfriend as she called on the court to order him to stay at least 100 meters away from her.

Simin added that Eduardo abused her on December 4, 2024. "I'm afraid (of Eduardo)," she began, adding that she had been in an 18-year relationship with the 81-year-old, during which she endured a series of abuse.

She claimed that Eduardo "physically abused me on several occasions, resulting in injuries." He also allegedly punched her in the face and hands, kicked her, pushed her down and choked her.

In her petition, Simin included photos of her alleged injuries as evidence and stated that the events caused me not only physical harm but also emotional pain.

In her submission, Simin noted that Eduardo's mood deteriorates every time he talks to Sharon on the phone. Simin stated that she was the primary target of his aggressions, along with a series of abusive behaviors he had previously displayed.

According to her, Eduardo "has a long history of verbal abuse, often using degrading and vulgar language towards me in public and in front of others. He repeatedly told me to 'shut up,' among other demeaning remarks."

Simin claimed in her petition that she hoped her ex-partner would outgrow his abusive ways after Sharon filed a separate restraining order against her for "elder abuse" on behalf of Eduardo in October 2024.

Like father, like son. Mauricio also had his hands full after being dragged to court by Relator LLC when 2024 ended. A document unsealed by the court in August 2024 showed that the company originally filed the claim in July 2023.

The filing alleges that Umansky, along with his business partner William "Billy" Rose and their real estate company, the Agency, conspired to embezzle loans intended for failing businesses.

"This is a case about greed during a state emergency," Relator LLC said in the petition. They explained that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mauricio applied for two Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act loans through his real estate agency.

Relator LLC emphasized that the loan programs are not designed to support or maintain the profits of a company that has sufficient resources to compensate its employees.

He explains that the financial assistance initiative was actually created to preserve the jobs of workers employed by companies that were unable to afford their salaries.
