Skeleton Crew felt like a breath of fresh air for Star Wars: an Amblin-inspired revamp that gave the galaxy far, far away its first proper all-ages titlean adventure starring kids way over their heads.

The show follows a group of teenagers living in an idyllic, suburban Anytown, a US-like planet, who find an old spaceship and venture out into the vastness of the galaxy... only to find that it's kind of smelly and full of violent pirates who want to kill them. kill. One of the show's biggest strengths is Jude Law's Jodh Na Nabood, a Jedi-trained pirate scum who is as skilled with the blade and the Force as he is traitorous and bound to think only for himself. In the final, we finally get Jod's storyand how he found the Jedi on the run as a young man after the purge, but according to a new behind-the-scenes photo, it looks like we almost got a glimpse of Jodh's Jedi Master.

Jodh Na Nuod is one of the best characters that Star Wars has introduced in years. He's extremely fun to watch and great with kids, but he's also a silver-tongued pirate willing to betray and sell out everyone who cares about him if it means getting some cold, hard credit. However, there is something tragic about this man - who is not a pirate posing as a Jedi, but is actually quite strong in the Force – his entire view of the world is distorted by the tragic, cruel death of his master. You see, Jod was training as a Jedi in the time after the purge of Order 66. When he and his master were discovered by Imperial forces, they killed her in front of him.

One thing that's interesting about Jodd is that he never redeems himself throughout Skeleton Crew. He does some good things, sure, and his history is sad, but it never feels like an excuse or a way to erase his bad deeds. However, his sad story could have been even sadder. Actress Jasmine Al Masri took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes pictures of a scene she was set to appear in for Skeleton Crew where she played a Jedi - the first Arab female Jedi, in fact. While she doesn't confirm whether or not she was played by Jodh's master, the post does feature combat training videos, so it would make sense that the cut scene depicts Jodh's master's death.

It's unfortunate that the scene was deleted and given the dismal ratings for Skeleton Crew It is unlikely that we will get more of this story. However, there is always the hope that a flashback to the death of Jod's unnamed master will appear on screen if Jod himself returns for more adventures.
