The conversation started when the two friends were sitting outside Mary's home in Parowan, Utah, discussing the contents of an email Mary had sent Kody about the property.
Jen asked her friend why she emailed everyone, to which Mary replied, "I feel like I gave the date a week and a half, just to start a conversation." Afterwards, Kody reportedly informed Mary that he had talked to all the right people. Mary continued saying:

"That's what I told him," Mary replied. “I he said 'I'm right people.' So I don't know exactly who is he talking to and what is his plan, but that's it really all I know."
She added that Kody could also be planning to dispose of the property and she has no idea what is going on. In the show's confessional, Kody said he was nice in the email and tried to calm everyone down.
As the conversation continued, Mary confided in her friend that Kody had once told her that she was only entitled to two acres of land because they only shared one child.
"His whole big deal back then was that I get two acres. He says, 'Well, you don't need that much because you don't have that many kids,'" Mary noted.

Per PEOPLEthe reality star defended her stance on equal share. Mary said she supported the family over the years, including adding to the family's funds to buy property and helping all of the children secure college admissions.
"I really don't know how much of the family funds actually paid for the other kids' school or cars, but I do know that my child's school was not taken care of from the family fund. Kody actually said that. Because I only have one child, I am not entitled to an equal share of the property." , Mary added.

Janelle Brown shared plans to release her portion of the Coyote Pass land last year

As Mary continues to drag Kody over his supposed decision about how much land to give her on the property, Janelle prepares to move on and never look back.
The Blast reported last year that Janelle had decided to sell her piece of land and move to Montana to be with her daughter Maddie and the rest of her family.
Janelle received support from Christina, who described the move as a "no brainer" for her. She felt it was unhealthy for her to continue living at Coyote Pass without plans to live near her family.
Since last year, Kody has not been in the plan with Janelle. She expressed her frustration at the reality star's silence on her plan and revealed her plans to take legal action over the situation.

"If Kody's not willing to buy me out...I'm going to have to do something about it. I think I'm going to have to get a lawyer. That's the only way I'm ever going to get any kind of decision from him," Janelle explained.
The mother of six cited legal restrictions as an obstacle to selling the Coyote Pass land
Jane's sense of urgency regarding the disposition of the land is defeated by the strong constraint resulting from her and Kody's lack of legal marriage. "I really have no legal rights to make any claim on Kody's property. We are not legally married," the star admitted.
The property was purchased by Kody and his wives many years ago as a lasting symbol of their close bond with each other. The family planned to build their own homes on the land, now a relic of their once flourishing relationship.
Kody's multiple marriages fell apart in less than four months, and Christine was the first to pull out. After her departure, Kody decided to buy back her portion of the land, giving Christine the opportunity to move to Utah and start a new life with the proceeds of the sale.
