American rapper Lizzo shared her thoughts on TikTok prohibition in America and its theories about it.

On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld a federal law that effectively banned the social media app in America.

The law went into effect on Sunday, meaning millions of Americans who used TikTok can no longer access it.

TikTok was one social media app known for its trending and hilarious videos. Therefore, rapper Lizzo couldn't help but reference a recent trend on the app to react to its ban in the United States.

The "Truth Hurts" singer took to her Instagram page to share a post lamenting the death of the app.

She published an obituary from a TikTok user who wrote: "In memory of Takesha "TikTok" Woods."

The obituary also had TikTok's funeral on January 19, sunrise as September 2016, and sunset as January 2024.

In the caption of the post, Lizzo wrote: "They really took her... MY SHIELA."

Many of Lizzie's fans found Lizzie's post hilarious and took turns lamenting TikTok's ban in the US.

She shared a picture of herself in a hammock and added a caption referring to recent events around the world.

Lizzo wrote: "UFOs are floating in the ocean, Trump is president, the planets are literally about to align, they discovered multi-dimensions."

The rapper added, "Spacecraft exploded over the Gulf of Mexico, TikTok is ending?! The moon's been full all week."

In another post before the TikTok ban took effect, Lizzo slammed the US government, although she expressed optimism that the social media app "will be saved."

She said per The US Sun"I know all the things that happen, but you know how mentally abusive people like to say things to scare you and make you feel inadequate and get some kind of sick, twisted satisfaction out of it?"

Lizzo asked, "Don't you think the government likes to see us stressed, scared and afraid? It really feels that way. So, no, I'm choosing not to be afraid right now. I'm not."

The "Tempo" rapper also shared a video by TikTok user Atheisticdeist showing a man questioning why the US Congress decided to ban TikTok instead of solving the multitude of problems affecting citizens.

Lizzo signed the video"I saved this right before TikTok crashed. Now I'm sharing it here."

Heidi Montag decided to be playful in her latest post on the app. She shared a video of herself shouting: "They say there's only five minutes left until TikTok! Oh no, what are we going to do? No, no, no."

Montag added: "Please Jesus, we need this, help our family, please God."

Social media influencer Kelsey Pumel shared an emotional video titled "Goodbye, Free Speech." In the video, she blasted the federal government for focusing on the wrong things.

Pumel said, "I still can't get over the fact that the government literally cares more about an app that hasn't been proven to pose any of the threats our country claims it poses because of kids literally (killed) in school, a health epidemic protection, inability to afford housing, homeless."

Meanwhile, Madilynn Cameron, who has a large following on the app, called for calm and expressed hope that outgoing President Joe Biden or President-elect Donald Trump would intervene.

Cameron's hope for government intervention appears to be taking hold as President-elect Donald Trump shared a message via Truth Socialcalling for an extension before the federal law banning TikTok goes into effect.

He wrote: "I'm asking companies not to let TikTok stay in the dark! On Monday, I will issue an executive order to extend the period before legal bans go into effect, so we can make a deal to protect our national security. The order will also confirm that it will not be responsible for any company that helped keep TikTok from going dark before my order."

Trump stated that Americans deserve access to the upcoming inauguration and related events. He proposed a joint venture with 50% American ownership to secure TikTok's future, arguing that it would save the app, ensure proper governance and unlock enormous value, subject to US approval of the arrangement.
