
Mena Masud Counting down the days until she and fiance Emily Shah tie the knot - Twice.
"It's been fun! Emily has been planning a lot," Masood, 33, exclusively said our weekly at a screening of his new movie in New York City you want here Presented by Cinema Society Wednesday, January 15. “He's asking me a lot of questions and I'm doing a bit, but we took a break during the holidays. We didn't do anything as planned and now we are starting in a big way because the wedding is in July."
the actor 30-year-old Shah was offered in December 2023 Vacation time in Japan. There will be two wedding ceremonies in honor of their respective religious backgrounds.
"We're doing three days, but really two days," Masoud explained Wednesday. “We're having a Hindu ceremony for Emily and then the next day for me we're having a Coptic Christian ceremony, (which) will be like a typical Western wedding. So, I think we got a little bit of everything."
Masood also teased that the big day will be "a great party."
"That's how I see it — you're throwing a party for your family and friends," Masood said our “And so, you're kind of like a party planner. … I'm excited."
When Shah led the planning Aladdin The star says that she ultimately has the final say on her wardrobe selection.
"(I'm) still figuring it out," he said. "Emily knows what she wears."
Masood and Shah have been together since 2020 after meeting A private membership-based app.

A year ago, Masood said WZRA TV That she and Shah "talked a while before" they started dating.
In 2023, he said, "I knew MK from about a year ago." So, I guess he made the first move and then I made a move It all worked out in the end. I think the best relationships often start that way - you get to know the person but sometimes nothing happens (until) it all falls apart."
Immediately, Masood thought Shaw was "beautiful and wanted to get to know her better".
Once Masood and Shah's relationship turned romantic, they started chronicling their romance through social media. They are each other's biggest fans, which means to Shah supporting Masood's film career (he recently starred in you want here, Julia Stiles' Directorial debutopposite Isabel Fuhrman.)
"I've done a few romantic comedies (and) light movies and it was clear from reading the book and reading the script that it would be intense," he explained. “But, I wanted to do it as an actor. Of course, you want to have those opportunities. I just don't think they make movies like that. I wanted to honor that opportunity.”
He added, “Julia finds it very easy. He really stretched me and really taught me a lot.
