The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddy Mellencamp He was not always steadfast in his decision to divorce Edwin Arroev.
"We went to this whole couple's therapy and it announced me as an introvert, and it was shocking information for everyone, even though I've been saying it my whole life," Mellencamp, 43, said Thursday, Jan. 16, during His episode of "Diamonds in the Rough". podcast. "I'm naturally an introvert, so I enjoy my alone time (and) I need to recharge."
Despite finding solace in quiet moments, she was not prepared for the heightened solitude of divorce. (Mellencamp separated from Arroev, 47, in the fall of 2024 and Filed for divorce That November.)
"There are moments that I'm experiencing now, where I feel really lonely and I don't know if this feeling of loneliness means I've made a mistake or it's Something I have to get used to And this is the new change in my life," Mellencamp questioned, trying to hold back tears. "Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed that I'm getting emotional, but this is such a confusing part of all of this."

Mellencamp's podcast cohost, Erika Jayne - whose own personal life made headlines in 2020 following her split from her now-disengaged lawyer Thomas Girardi — chimed in to share his support.
"He's in the thick of it now, and it's so fresh and so hard," Zayn, 53, said on Thursday's episode. “I feel for him because none of this is easy and choosing to even be on a podcast today and talk about it. You know, Teddy, you need to cut yourself a break. If you hadn't said you were feeling lonely, I would have been worried that you were."

As for Mellencamp, it seems she has a "constant pain" that she is "trying to fake (her) way through" every day.
"I've talked about it in therapy, but it's almost, like, I'm drawn to another chaotic situation," Mellencamp explains. "I don't want to give too much away about my parents or anything like that, but obviously my dad (John Mellencamp) was a rock star. He met some girls in the Rainbow Room and it was my mother and their baby (when) he was already married. Like, everything was for show."
Teddy continued, “I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life, and my only goal was … to give my kids stability. I don't know if it's the loneliness or if I feel scared, (but) I also don't feel like I'm enough, like, all these things."
Teddi and Arroyave share daughter Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, as well as son Cruz, 10. (Aroev is also the father of Isabella, a 15-year-old daughter from a past relationship.)
