After facing backlash for her comments about the Los Angeles fires, the rapper Lil' Kim she replied explaining herself, though she wondered what the fuss was about.

Earlier this week, Lil' Kim prayed for a monsoon in LA amid the raging inferno that was plaguing the city, but some confused fans attacked her.

however, renowned female rapper she took it upon herself to educate her critics about the monsoons, even going so far as to share a definition of the term.

On Tuesday, Lil' Kim shared her concerns about the devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.

Going to X, she posted a message that read"Sending strong prayers for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking. I pray to Jesus that God makes a monsoon in LA."

While several fans responded positively to Lil' Kim's prayers, many others were confused and wondered why she wanted another natural disaster to hit LA in the midst of a wildfire.

Some disgruntled fans called out Lil' Kim, claiming her use of Monsoon was wrong.

One fan wrote: "That might not be the best answer..." Another user X added: "Make it monsoon? A disaster on top of an existing disaster? No ma'am."

A third person shared a gif of the two ladies trying so hard not to laugh with the caption, "Ending one natural disaster with another is crazy."

Meanwhile, another person posted: "California is going through one of the worst droughts ever recorded in US history and you'd think they'd get a monsoon."

A fifth X user asked, "Girl, do you even know what monsoon means?"

As the backlash against her continued, Lil' Kim returned to X and addressed the negative comments that followed her prayer for LA.

She published"What's happening is devastating and what LA really needs right now is rain—so what's the problem? Doesn't everyone understand that a monsoon is heavy rain?"

The 50-year-old rapper went on to express his delight that people are "positive" despite the tragedy that hit California.

She wrote: "So happy to see everyone being so positive during such a tragic situation. Let's keep praying and supporting everyone affected by this."

Despite Lil' Kim's attempts to explain herself, she received more criticism from some fans, who let her know about the harmful effects of the monsoon.

One such fan wrote: "We know what you mean, but heavy rain would cause landslides, flooding, high winds or more damage."

Another person added that the monsoon would make no sense because people would have nowhere to go. They also urged the "Lighters Up" singer to "delete this post."

A third, seemingly giving Lil' Kim the benefit of the doubt, wrote: "Sister, we knew you knew. You had good intentions! Monsoon's not the answer though."

Another person who added asked the rapper to "do some research" as the monsoon would make the already dire situation worse.

Meanwhile, a fifth fan brought in a bit of history to explain to Lil' Kim why the monsoon isn't the best idea. They shared a video showing cars covered in debris and mudslides due to heavy rainfall.

They wrote in the caption: "Regards Ms. Lil. Last time we had heavy rain in the exact area where the fire happened this happened. Keep in mind now with the fire more debris on the streets would make it an even bigger disaster. Not to mention the filth released by the fire so yeah.. no thanks."

Despite the education she received from her fans, Lil' Kim stood by her stance that Monsoon is needed in LA.

She shared a screenshot from the web showing the definition of monsoon. It said: "A monsoon is a seasonal change in wind direction that can cause extremely wet or dry weather."

It continues: "Monsoons are often associated with tropical regions, but can also occur in other parts of the world, including North America."

She also shared a screenshot on her Instagram Stories showing comments from fans who seemed to understand and wondered why people were trolling her.
