Taylor Swifthas a romance with Travis Kelce is getting stronger. According to reports, the singer is renovating her $17 million Rhode Island mansion to make it her future family home with the NFL star.

The plans will cost more than $1.7 million and include a new bedroom suite, living room, kitchen remodel and additional bedroom.

Travis Kelce also recently shared how his supportive relationship with Taylor Swift is boosting his football career.

According to New York PostSwift is giving her lavish Rhode Island estate a major makeover, with plans to turn it into a future family home with boyfriend Kelce.

As originally reported by the Providence Journal, Swift is investing $1.7 million in an extensive renovation of the $17 million Watch Hill property. The move was confirmed thanks to building permits and location records.

Renovation plans include a 400 sq ft extension to create a luxurious new bedroom suite and comfortable lounge within the spacious 11,000 sq ft waterfront property.

Swift is also redesigning the kitchen and adding an extra bedroom to the main house.

Permits for the project were discreetly submitted in late November and early December 2024, and construction was approved to continue until the end of 2025.

An insider shared with the news outlet that the "Cardigan" singer envisions this property as "her home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully one day raise a family."

Swift's sprawling Rhode Island estate, set on over five acres of immaculately landscaped grounds, has long served as her favorite getaway.

The property boasts a spacious yard, a pool house, and an exclusive 700-foot private beach, offering the perfect waterfront retreat.

The multiple Grammy winner was last spotted at the Watch Hill mansion in August 2024, relaxing with boyfriend Kelce and close friends after wrapping up the European leg of her record-breaking Eras tour.

Although she skipped her iconic Fourth of July celebration this year due to tour commitments, she later organized an intimate get-together in August to make up for it.

Kelce isn't the only high-profile guest enjoying Swift's seaside retreat. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany recently joined the couple on a beach getaway.

In previous years, Swift's exes Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas have also spent time at the property, along with her famous friends such as Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.

Over the summer, Blake Lively even celebrated her birthday at a beachside property.

Swift bought her stunning eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom Rhode Island estate in 2013 when she was just 23 years old.

Interestingly, she paid the full price of $17.75 million with a single bank transfer, securing the beachfront property without hesitation.

The mansion holds deep personal significance for the mega pop star, serving as the inspiration for her 2020 song "The Last Great American Dynasty."

The song tells the story of Rebecca Harkness, the previous owner of the estate. Harkness, a wealthy socialite and composer known for her headline-grabbing lifestyle, died in 1982 at the age of 67. She was often surrounded by controversy, which Swift felt a personal connection to.

In the 2020 interview Rolling StoneSwift reflected on the relationship, saying, "Her name was Rebecca Harkness. And she lived in a house that I ended up buying in Rhode Island. That's how I found out about her. But she was a very, very talked-about woman, and everything what she did was scandalous, i found a connection in that.

During a recent appearance on "The Stephen A. Smith Show" ahead of the Chiefs' playoff game against the Houston Texans, Kelce opened up about why he and Swift continue to publicly support each other as their careers soar to new heights.

"I'm enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy," the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star said, adding, "I couldn't be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field and all the other support I could ever ask for in the ballpark ."

When Smith asked if his relationship with Swift improved his performance on the court, Kelce reflected on the impact of their relationship.

"I think the beauty of a really strong relationship is that you get the support that you can go in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of yourself," Kelce explained.

He continued: "That's why I wanted to be at the concert, to support her and be there for her, to make sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she does in life."

In a performance at "bus' With The Boys" podcast last year, Kelce opened up about his relationship with one of the world's most famous singers, shedding light on their whirlwind romance.

Kelce expressed pride in his relationship with Taylor Swift and called her his "lady," saying, "You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I'm not here to hide anything. That's my girl, that's my lady, and I'm proud of it."

He emphasized the difference between maintaining privacy and not running away from their relationship.

"I'm not sitting here trying to juggle like, 'how do I keep this a secret?'" Kelce said. "You just don't want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does gets a headline."
