
Kenny Law, who starred in the Discovery Channel docuseries The Moonshinershas died He was 68.
Kenny is pronounced dead via a Facebook post on Wednesday, January 15 by Law's Choice Distillery.
“With sadness, we announce that Everett 'Kenny' Law passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 14, 2025. 🕊️” the post read. “We will share his obituary as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone so far for the love, support and prayers. ❤️🩹"
The post was accompanied by a photo of the third-generation, Virginia-based distiller sitting next to a creek holding a bottle of moonshine.
No official cause of death has been released. But Kenny's cousin Henry Lawwho ran Law's Choice Distillery with Kenny, to say TMZ Kenny passed away on Thursday, January 16 at a local hospital after suffering from multiple health problems over the past few years.
According to Henry, Kenny suffered a heart attack in 2024 and was suffering from heart problems. Also, he battled diabetes amid his health struggles, per TMZ
Kenny was best known for acting The Moonshinerswhich premiered in 2011 and is currently in its 14th season. According to Discovery, the series follows "a diverse group of people living in Appalachia who carry on a 200-year-old tradition passed down from their ancestors, making moonshine."

Kenny's The Moonshiners costar Amanda Bryant32, honored the late distiller with a tribute via social media.
"Last night we lost a true legend from our Moonshiner family, Kenny Locke," he wrote via Facebook. “You will be greatly missed, it was an honor to know you and call you my friend. Rest easy big guy."
He added, “Prayers for the entire Law family at this time. They are my dearest friends and my heart breaks for each of them. Rest in peace Kenny law respect you always."

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kenny Law. He has been a valued member of our Moonshiner community since season eight,” the post read. “We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Shine on, Kenny."
According to his obituary, Kenny is survived by "his daughter and son-in-law." Kenzie and Nathan Wright; grandsons, Atlas and Fox Wright; bro, David Law And Ronnie (Suzanne) Law; cousin Henry Lee Law who was like a brother to him; and many dear aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins."
