
Gabriel Basso Likes to do his own stunts whenever possible.
"I think that can be misconstrued in the world of choice, I do it because I want to say I can do it, and it's not really about that," The Night Agent the star, 30, said during a Tuesday, Jan. 14, appearance The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "To me it's about audience immersion."
Basso stars in the Netflix series as FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who works as a night-action telephone operator at the White House. He told Fallon, 50, that when viewers watch The Night AgentHe wants them to feel that his performance is believable.
“I don't want the audience to watch the show, and then right when I get hurt or throw a hip or throw my back, you know. I think it's false,” said the actor. "I enjoy acting, I don't like to lie."
For Basso, he sees it as a "difference" in performing stunts "for audience immersion" and "for the sake of believability".
"They like Peter (and) it's important to see him take hits, I think," he explained. “And if that requires throwing me against a wall, then fine. It's not the end of the world."

a stunt What was on Baso's table was skydiving - something he already does in his personal life.
"(Netflix) came up with it as an idea and then I was like, 'Oh I've already skydived. I'll do it,'" Basso said. "But then the insurance called and was like, 'Yeah shut it down.'"
Fallon then showed a photo of Basso skydiving.

"I went to skydive San Diego," Basso explained of the photo of him flying through the air. "I have recertified my A-Class"
The late-night host then realized he was holding Basso's photo upside down. Basso quipped about his photo in the sky "looking cold on the other side" as his back was seemingly to the ground.
"I love it. It's hard to do," Fallon teased before recreating the pose in his chair. "You really have to arch your back."
Last month, Basso took an epic leap from a Netflix blimp during a Christmas Day football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. Basso parachuted out of a blimp in Houston. After completing the stunt, he subsequently revealed the trailer for season 2 The Night Agent except
