Details on Busta Rhymes' alleged assault incident with his assistant

according to New York PostPolice say Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith Jr., punched his assistant Dashiel Gables in the face several times, leaving a swollen left eye. TMZ shares that after the attack, Rhymes ran away and Gables immediately called the police. Authorities and paramedics responded quickly, and Gables was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

On Tuesday, January 14th, Busta Rhymes voluntarily turned himself in to the NYPD and reported that he was issued an appearance ticket at the desk for misdemeanor assault, attempted assault and harassment. A desktop appearance ticket means Rhymes must appear in court on a date set to face the charges.

As of now, Busta Rhymes has not responded to the allegations or commented on the incident.
