Promoter Eddie Hearn called Naoya Inoue to fight his #1 WBA champion, Murodjon Akhmadaliev (13-1, 10 KOs), following his third fight win over Ricardo Espinoza (30-5, 25 KOs) on Saturday night at the Salle des Étoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Hearn is trying to embarrass Inoue, 31, and his team against Akhamadaliev, but to no avail. Inoue has been immune to public pressure throughout his career, ignoring their pleas to fight better opposition.
He has reached the age of 12 eat on canned tomatoeswon three world championships in gift shops. He won't mind embarrassing Hearn by fighting Akhmadaliev, and he'll likely be knocked out like Ricardo Espinoza was tonight.
Akhmadaliev knocked Espinoza down three times in the third round to finish at 2:59. After the fight, Akhmadaliev challenged super bantamweight champion Inoue to face them after his next title defense against #1 IBF and #1 WBO Sam Goodman on January 24th.
Will Inoue leave?
Hearn said he thinks Team Inoue will "copy" Akhmadaliev. If he doesn't fight him, expect Naoya to vacate his WBA title. He can do that because he will move up to 126 shortly after his fights against Goodman (19-0, 9 KOs) on January 24th and Junto Nakatani.
The Risk Averse Hunter
Akhmadaliev almost has no chance against Noue because he is so talented, the Japanese star has taken over. risk. Inoue has never fought a better man in his 12-year career. So you can say he's not a fan.
“I'm ready. Let's go, Naoya. Why is he jumping me? If he doesn't want to fight me, he should explain because when I was winning, I followed the rules and he also had to follow the rules," said Murodjon Akmadaliev in the time of the iinterview after defeating Ricardo Espinoza on Saturday night, calling out super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue.
"I had the right. I fought them without discussion. So, I have to explain that I am here ready for the fight. The best thing is to fight the best. I am in command, and (WBA ) champion for a while. He (Inoue) has to prove that he is the best in his division. He has to prove himself," said Akhmadaliev about Naoya Inoue.
I don't think there is anything Akhmadaliev and Hearn can do to force Naoya to fight him. Next on January 24th he will fight Junto Nakania against Sam Goodman. He is also a good person.
Naoya's Avoidance Tactics
"We've given him the fight. It wasn't called once. The WBA called it twice," promoter Eddie Hearn said of the two fights ordered for his champion Akhmadaliev. first time, they paid for MJ duck.
"The second season was iron in the writing. They had to fight him. They found a way to avoid him (Akhmadaliev). Naoya Inoue is a legend pound for pound. We respect him" He's an unbeliever. One thing he doesn't have is Uzbek power.
"I'm telling you. There's only one fighter in the (super bantamweight) division that can match him, let alone beat him, and that's MJ. I'm telling you right now, you're going to This guy (Akhmadaliev) beat Naoya Inoue.
“He's got all the skills, all the talent, and the pedigree. I really believe he will beat her. We do it in Japan. They should fight each other for the untitled championship. We (Akhmadaliev) lost a decision that we didn't believe we deserved to lose (to Marlon Tapales via a twelve-round split decision on April 8, 2023),” Hearn said of the loss. Akhmadaliev against Tapales last year.
That's a contract awarded to Akhmadaliev, who lost to Tapales via 12 round decision last year in April 2023. It's too bad there wasn't a rematch because it should have been.
“He (Naoya) was called twice to fight him. He's the only fighter in the division, and there are people who say, 'Oh, Naoya's not going to beat anybody.' Maybe Inoue doesn't, but his team knows, because everyone in boxing knows how good he is (Akhmadaliev).
"Uzbek power"
"Let the best fight the best. It's the only fight in the division. It's one of the greatest fights in the sport. I'll tell you what. I'll bet the house on it. Beaten by This young man is Naoya. I'll tell you something. I bet you they won't fight him. After this fight with (Sam) Goodman,
“She must leave or fight him. I hope they avoid him. If they do, don't start calling him pound-for-pound #1 because this guy will beat him. Uzbek power, stick your house up," Hearn said.
Naoya will vacate his four titles at 122, but he will do so without fighting Akhmadaliev because he is a threat to beat him. He was careful, always was.
