Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez they are rumored to be planning a wedding in Italy, possibly involving the billionaire's $500 million yacht Cora.

This comes after Bezos denied reports of a $600 million wedding in Aspen, noting that no such event was planned.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez got engaged in May 2023 after five years together, and the Amazon founder proposed to the former journalist with a 20-carat diamond ring worth up to $3.5 million.

Bezos and Sánchez may be planning to exchange vows in Italy, says Paula Froelich of NewsNationwho overheard some women discussing a potential wedding location in the bathroom during a holiday dinner at Matsuhisa, an upscale sushi spot in Aspen, Colorado.

As reported by the New York Postthe source claimed that the wedding in the European country could take place in the "spring/summer".

The source also stated that "it will involve a boat," referring to Bezos' luxury yacht Kora, which is said to have cost more than $500 million to build and has a wooden figure made in Sánchez's likeness.

This new report comes after Bezos dismissed rumors that he and Sánchez were set to tie the knot in an extravagant $600 million wedding in Aspen, Colorado.

Moving on to X, the Amazon founder vehemently denied the claims, stating, "This whole thing is completely bogus — none of this is happening."

Bezos went on to warn his followers, saying, "The old adage 'don't believe everything you read' is truer today than it's ever been. Now lies can travel around the world before the truth wears out."

He ended with a warning: "Be careful out there" and "Don't be gullible." Sanchez also shut down the report in a post, calling it false.

Bezos and Sanchez got engaged in May 2023 after nearly five years together. Their relationship first came to public attention in 2018, a year before Bezos finalized his divorce from MacKenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage.

Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, spoke about the rarity of such a large natural diamond.

He noted, "Finding a natural diamond in that carat weight is extremely rare, and there is no doubt that Jeff Bezos would have hand-picked an extravagant diamond. Months of planning probably went into the design of the ring and the selection of the stone."

Recently, Sanchez's relaxing sunbath on Bezos' $500 million superyacht, Koru, was interrupted by customs officers who conducted a thorough search on New Year's Eve while the yacht was sailing near St. Barts, the celebrity holiday hotspot.

Photos show the 55-year-old former TV presenter smiling and posing on the top deck of the yacht in a sleek Versace bikini, paired with a black sarong and wide-brimmed hat, as officers searched the rest of the vessel.

Uniformed officers, dressed in black life jackets and wearing gear, were seen talking to a flight attendant, who was guiding them through the yacht.

The source said the inspection, although it lasted about three hours, was standard "routine".

Amid marriage rumors, Sánchez opened up about her wedding excitement, revealing during an appearance on the "Today Show" that she was gathering ideas on Pinterest.

"I have to say I have a Pinterest — I'm like any other bride, so I have a Pinterest board," she admitted, sharing that she was researching wedding dress options. "I'm thinking about a dress."

In an interview from November 2023 Vogue magazine, Sánchez discussed the possibility of a destination wedding with Bezos, though nothing has been set in stone.

"We're still thinking about getting married," she said at the time. "What will it be. Will it be big? Will it be abroad? We don't know yet. We've only been engaged for five months!"
