In an interview in August 2025 with The wrapperEsposito said Edgar would return to the "boys" season 5, and his performance at General V, but confirms that. During the season "Guys" 5, Edgar is likely to be an ally (convenience) of anti-Homelander resistance. When the Starvala last appeared, she noted that she was on the run, as the other boys were trapped by the homeland. Edgar's bunker is an accurate kind of home base that Annie needs right now.
Edgar definitely does not approve of the Netherland regime (just because he is man himself) and reveals them in "cooking lessons" that he intends to take control of Vough. Once he did, he loves Marie for his part. She literally has the same powers as his dead daughter, so that she can easily enter the role of Neumann ever played for Edgar.
The host coup probably convinced Edgar from ever to turn his plans to turn Vuge from a "superhero company" into a "suitable" defense and farm company, the real ones. Remember, while Edgar is useful and iteusen for Marie and Friends, he is no Good boy. He authorized all kinds of gray work, the assassinations involved, when he was head of Vouge. In "Cooking Lessons", he imposes Marie to accept that she is more powerful and valuable than her friends, whom she thinks is disposable.
"When the dust calms down, those who remain will reshape the world," Edgar tells Marie, reminiscent of a similar speech given by the Starvala about the power in the "boys" season 3. Talking about power, could the "boys" end up with Edgar Back on the top of the corporate world? The "boys" is too cynical for a clear happy ending; Edgar is less evil than the homeland (just as corporate capitalism is less evil than fascism), but it is still evil.
Stan Edgar stayed alive and authorized would be an appropriate message about this story of how capitalism and conservatism spoiled the world; The rot goes so deep that its most polluted symptoms cannot be cured. (For what is worth - and spoilers for the comic book here - the original comic book "The Boys" by Garth Ennis and Darik Robertson ended up with the Vought Bigwig James Stillwell escaping from every justice.)
Then there is Zoe. While Edgar is generally too detached for revenge, I think Zoe will want to take revenge on Billy Batcher (Carl Urban) for her mother's murder. She probably won't be the butcher, as that role seems to be reserved for Hukewing (Jackec Kwaid) or Ryan (Cameron Croateti), but it can become more blood on the butcher hands.
"Gen V" is streaming in the premiere video with new episodes debuting on Wednesday. Season 5 of the "Boys" is set at the premiere of Prime Minister Video in 2026.
