Engulfed in Fire on a Motorized Scooter

according to North news now, Hible lived at the Boundary Waters Care Facility. On Monday, January 6, emergency personnel were reportedly dispatched to the area around 4:38 p.m. after a witness reported a fire at the scene.

Additionally, the report stated that Hible's motorized scooter "caught fire" while sitting outside the facility. Hible was reportedly "totally engulfed" before workers got him off the scooters.

According to the outlet, Hible suffered severe burns in the incident. He was also taken to Ely Hospital before being airlifted to a hospital in Duluth, where he died.

Northern News Now He added that the state fire department is still investigating the fatal incident. However, preliminary reports appear to indicate that "smoking caused this accidental fire."

Finally, the outlet stated that outside of Hible, an employee of the Boundary Waters Care Facility was also injured. However, their case was not life-threatening, and they were eventually released from the hospital.
