Joe BidenHer family has become somewhat accustomed to being in the spotlight before and after moving to the White House.

The same year Biden won a US Senate seat in 1972, his first wife, Nilia Hunter Bidenand their three children, Beau, hunter and Naomi 'Amy' Biden, involved in a car accident. Nilia and 13-month-old Amy died in the crash, while Beau and Hunter survived with serious injuries.

After the mourning period, Joe Bro Frank Biden Set him up on a blind date with Jill Bidennée Jacobs, in 1975. The couple married two years later and welcomed their daughter, AshleyIn June 1981.

"She gave me my life back," the politician wrote of Jill in his 2007 memoir, promise to keep. "He started me thinking that my family could be whole again."

Joe was elected as the 46th President of the United States in 2020 but dropped out of the 2024 presidential race to support his vice president, Kamala Harris. Harris ultimately lost the election Donald Trump.

In the final months of his presidency, Joe made history after becoming the grandfather to serve as president.
