Clark died on an Orlando-region hospital on Sunday 21 September 21, with his wife 17-year-old wife, Zonell clerkBy his side, according to the university. He was 50 years old.
Football coach was admitted to the hospital on September 7 after the medical emergency. He was in a state of stability until he died on Sunday.

In A statement Central Florida University published by the head coach Scott frost Sunday Shawn was described as "much more than a coach."
"He was a significant man, husband and father who was deeply careful about his players and staff," said Frost, 50 years old. "The response to our players and coaches to our news this morning is proof of Shaun's character and the impact he loved on every life he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Jonel and children with Ziana and Braxton with his wife.
The UCF announced that Shaun was admitted to the hospital earlier this month, he said he was "taking proper care."

Shawn joined UCF coaching staff in December 2021 as his Alma Matter as the head coach of Appalachian State University after five seasons.

The late coach and his wife celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary in July.
