Season 3 of the Foundation changed things when introducing Mule, a conqueror with mental skills that can control the minds of the masses. This was different from the previous two seasons, where the villain was just an abstract huge huge of the Galactic Empire. By introducing Mule, the "Foundation" became more focused, with each story touching the threat of this conqueror, even if only tangent. We had a unique entity, a man who could be killed, as an antagonist, instead of a set of cloned emperors that can be replaced on the button.

Because of this, the audience knows that the mule will eventually be defeated, if not by Gal Dornik (Lou Lobel) and the foundation, then at least until the adoption of the time - a very large part of the show, as we have already jumped forward about 300 years since the beginning of the first season. However, the problem is just how much damage the muzzy can do, especially now that season 3 ends with the fall of FMPire and the foundation essentially conquered by Muzot - who happened to be a very different person than we initially thought.

And yet, this is still a "foundation", a play full of dark moments that still reveal some hope at the end of suffering. In the season final, In the midst of the death of some fan-royal charactersThe Demercel robot has given us a subtle hint of how Mule will be defeated, and it is likely that you have missed its meaning.

It has to do with Gal's vision and Demerzel's interpretation of it. Earlier in the season, Demerzel was told about the vision of the future in which she would offer a safe shelter for the second foundation within the Imperial Library in Transter, but it also resulted in them eventually being discovered by the mule and the fight. This created a paradox in Demerzel where she does not know if she will directly betray the foundation and give up or indirectly challenge it by giving them that safe shelter in the same place.

In the final of the season, Demerzel makes a choice, and this is probably the most important thing we have seen how he does the whole season, and the key to stopping Muz.

In episode 9, Demerzel consults another robot for the vision and its dilemma and it is said that if the outcome is that the second foundation will be found, then Demerzel has a choice when it wants to give the foundation to Mule. Neither she nor the audience are sure that Demerzel will directly give the second basis, but its logic assumes that, given the outcome, the very fact that it leads to the place where they will be attacked means that she is in some way responsible.

In the final, however, Demerzel is tragically killed before he can make that choice. She has no interaction with mule, nor does or says anything that can give a hint of where the second foundation is. However, she makes the choice of Leading the second foundation to the Imperial Library in Tranor (their home in books) Before he died, and showed him the Ambassador of the Planet Foundation, Quent (Jerry Onesons), how to reach them.

This is important because, from Demerzel when she did so, she failed to choose between the lecture of the second foundation. Instead, she only had to do something good because she thought she was right (but mostly because she fulfilled her thinking programming about the long -term survival of the empire). That is why she tells Quent to head to the library because "it is the future that Seldon would like." It ends as Demerzel, a technically completely out of psychochistory, but also his co -author, who manages to solve the problem of mule by rescuing a group of people who can defeat it. After all, Mule is mentally, a person with powerful mental abilities, and the second foundation is completely made of mentality, which means they have the best chance to defeat the muzzle.

Now that The Foundation has been renewed for Season 4We can speculate on what to deal with next season. Obviously, the threat of mule remains a great priority because the Galactic Empire has failed after the death of all, except for a clone of the Clion (technically two, but one of them is mule). Since we do not get any closure of this story, Season 4 will definitely focus on byte/Mule's move to win the empire.

As the Muz is closed to the transnor, this is where Demerzel's last act before he died will pay off, because the second basis, to be right there, hidden in the imperial capital, will give them an advantage in the fight against mule. This matches the original plan of the creator of the show David S. Goyer for the "Foundation" to end with the adjustment of Isaac Asimov Foundation's original books in four seasons. That means that next season will mostly refer to Mule and Tranor, while also Research on the seed planted from the last scene of the season.

As for the second foundation, there will probably be a conflict between the first and the second base of the 4 or even 5 season, as the show has dropped the whole season 3 that the first foundation would not be happy to discover that they were manipulated by the second group. There is also the fact that David S. Goyer has released several pages of scripts on deleted scenes in the now deleted blog-post, which included a byte scene talking to Harry Seldon's AI and proposes to find and destroy the second foundation together, which is nothing but bad news for everyone.
