Macaulay Culkin has never been in...
In a recent interview with Bustle On Jan. 7, Song talked about how Costco became an unexpected place for a touching memory with Culkin.
“I just dropped my son off at preschool and I was with Mack. We were sitting in Costco, and it hadn't opened yet,” Song recalled. “Mack was sitting there going, 'Babe' — he'd never been to a Costco before we started dating — 'We're sitting at a Costco. I'm wearing Crocs. Costco isn't even open yet. You tamed the beast, baby.'”
The moment was both funny and tender, capturing the down-to-earth dynamic between the two stars. Song added with a laugh, "And I was like, 'How dare you, sir!'

Their Costco outing took an unexpected turn when Song received a career-changing phone call. “My agent calls me and says, 'Hey, I've got this really great script for you. Do you have a second? What are you doing?' And I was like, 'Oh, I'm sitting in the parking lot at Costco before it opens.' She says, 'I have to find you a job.'"

Brenda Song starts a family
The couple welcomed their first son, Dakota, in April 2021, followed by their second son, Carson, in December 2022. In January 2022, their engagement was confirmed after Song was spotted wearing an engagement ring in Beverly Hills. "They are and always have been very much in love with each other," the source said Us Weekly at that time.
In December 2023, Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where he gave heartfelt praise to Song during his speech. “Last but not least, I would like to thank Brenda. You are absolutely everything. You are my champion,” Culkin said. “You're the only person happier for me today than I am. You're not just the best woman I've ever known, you're the best person I've ever known.”

Brenda Song talks about her time on the Disney Channel
Starting at age 16, Song spent six years portraying lovable and hilariously clueless socialite London Tipton in "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and its sequel, "The Suite Life on Deck" — a role in which the dialogue was, of course, G. -rated.
“Coming from a Disney Channel background, I think people are almost scared. It's strange to see you like that," she said Bustle. “But I'll be honest. I think in LA, 'f-ck' is a verb. It is a noun. It's an adjective. It comes naturally to my language. Since I had children, I had to take care of myself. People like to say the Valley Girls say 'like'. I think we say 'f-ck' as much as 'I like it'.”
Navigating Parenthood and Hollywood
A few years ago, Song revealed that she and Culkin were coping with parenting without a nanny, but she's grateful for her strong support system, which helps her juggle parenthood and an acting career.
"My fiance and I are very hands-on," she noted The Cut of parenthood. "We don't have a babysitter, but my mom has been here with us since my son was born. He's 9 months old now."
She added: "I think when you and your partner have children, especially in the first few months, you don't have the patience to be nice to each other. It's very important to be communicative when you need help. Instead of setting obligations, we just feel out of place, I'll put my son down and my partner says, 'Let me feed the animals and make dinner.'

Brenda Song recalls being pregnant twice in the same calendar year
Speaking to Bustle, the former Disney star recalled what it was like starting a family with the "Home Alone" star.
“I had two pregnancies in the same calendar year. It was a lot," she said. "When I stepped into motherhood, it made me question myself a lot: my place in this industry, my place as a woman, aging in this industry, societal pressures, what is beauty, what is being young. Things I've never questioned before."
She added: "And also, my priority is my children, so I can't just uproot my life and go live in Bulgaria for nine months to make a movie. I thought, 'Does acting still fit into my life?'
