The world of Apple TV+ Foundation is one of the widest scientific universes on TV. This is a universe where humanity conquered the cosmos and spread through untold planets at a time when the Universe manages the Galactic Empire led by three cloned emperors in order to represent the imperfection of the empire. It is a universe where the robots not only existed, they have been extinct for thousands of years.

It is the robotics part of the "Foundation" mythology which is probably the most exciting aspect of the show on the show. Although initially not part of the book series by Isaac Asimov by the same name, the legendary author eventually returned his series "Foundation" with his series of stories "I, Robots", Combining them in a single time frame That the Apple TV+ series is now adjusting.

Through the three seasons of the "foundation", we have just scratched the surface of the era of robotics in the history of mankind. Since no one alive in the show remembers the time when robots were around, much of that story is still wrapped in mystery ... until this season. In an exclusive interview prior to the announcement of the Foundation's Season 3 final, co-creator and show show, David S. Goyer talked to /film about his desire to investigate the wars of robots in spin-off TV series.

"I would like to tell that story, but there are really two ways to say it. One would be to say how a kind of B-story intertwined in a season, where they would make these retrospectives, which would be interesting, but it would take a lot of time and a very broadband range," Goyer said. "Another interesting way to do that is to do it as a miniser of six episodes that take place between two of the major seasons of the Foundation.

A limited series of wars in robots can, on the surface, feel unnecessary, excuse just to put more big battles on the screen. Except, nothing is so simple when it comes to Asimov's worlds. We know that the reason why the wars in robots began is because the robots disagreed whether their programming meant they had to kill some people to prevent them from destroying each other, or whether they should let them disappear than to kill a man. A limited series of war could be more than just exciting action, it can be an emotional story for robots to literally break up with each other, over ethical dilemmas and think about philosophical issues and at the same time fuel. This has the potential to be a heart story if it is ever done. "If" is a keyword here.

"Who knows if that will ever happen?" Goyer decreased. "It was something that would be exciting and to stretch our hands and really give it ... I don't think that story is needed to enjoy the" foundation "as a show, but it would be fun to do it."

The Foundation was just Recovered for Season 4 of Apple TV+But the dream of a mini-series of robots wars remains a dream for now. However, if we learned something from three seasons of heart attack, looking at the "foundation", it is always hope.
