Spoilers For "Conjection: Last Rituals" follow.
Since the unforgettable opening of "The Conjuring" in 2013, in which the haunted doll Annabella has left such an impression, the universe she is considering, struggling to include Annabella's buggy success with different results. As originally intended, the opening of Annabella was a way to introduce Ed and Lauren Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) before climbing the main case of the Peron family film. However, the story of the possessed doll-a particularly spooky design for the film, which is significantly different from the doll with Real-Life Raggedy Ann-attracted so much attention that not only became Annabella Main movie in the future "Conjection" moviesBut she got Three spin-off movies on their own.
Incredibly, the character retained its popularity even though foretelling films never realize what to do with it. Annabella's concept is not A wicked doll like a chuck or chat tina It meant that Annabella and Annabella's "Creation" spent a lot of time underlining how the doll was actually just a conductor for demon Malthus, who never had the same cinema. By the time "Annabella comes home", the Warren family, like other different spirits, had to be included in order for the film not to be too repetitive.
After the first "Conuring", Annabella made only short performances by Kimo in the main films "Conjuring" as she is the subject of the center in the Varence Trophy room. In "The Conjuring: The Devavol made me do it," the Satanic cult known as Aries students were tangently involved in the main plot of the film, and they were founded in the first "Annabella" as instrumental in the Shanigans of the evil doll. However, there was not much reason for Annabella to be a constant presence in the films "Conjuvir" besides her popularity, causing her great performance in The latest (and supposedly final) installment, "Conjection: Last Rituals", " Initially it feels too distracting. However, her presence is primarily focused not on married Warnence, nor to the Smurl family, but now the adult Yudi Warren (Mia Tomlinson) and that is not arbitrary. It turns out that Yudi is the main purpose of the demon in "last rituals", and while they may or may not be malus, there is no doubt that the soul of the yudi he loves.
As such, this demon is used by Annabella to torment Jududi in submission, an effective decision thanks to the special history of Yudi with the haunted doll for her previous performances in the "Conjections" films. It is a choice that helps the "last rituals" feel like a pay and the last chapter and makes the film much more satisfying.
Jududy Warren and Annabella have a Chinese history
Although Annabella is certainly the biggest brazen character from the "Concerning" films and in front of the monks (Sorry, a distorted man), its use in "last rituals" is no ordinary case of directors descending to their fanbase. After all, Annabella and Yudi have an established history. During the events of "The Conjuring", the young Yudi (Sterling Inserins) is left home alone while her parents are investigating the Peron case. As Varence is getting closer to exposing and exortioning the spirit of witch Batsheba, the wicked spirit appears in Varence's home and the troubles of Jududi using the Annabella doll, which is recently held there for storage. Although Ed and Lauren arrive in time to help stop any serious damage, there is no doubt that the meeting left his traumatic scars on Yudi Warren.
That trauma deteriorates again in "Annabella comes home", in which teenager Yudi (McKenna Grace), her babysitter and their friend are trapped at Warren's house with Annabella/Malthus. Not only does this forces Jududi to make a spiritual battle with Annabella, but also for traumatic experience, as Annabella acts as a kind of ringloves and an incenturer for other evil spirits living in the Varence Trophy room. While Yudi and her friends can submit Annabella and other released spirits, it remains a sense of unfinished business between yudi and doll. This is why, when The wicked demon of the conjurian mirror in "Last Ritranes" finds the way back to Varens (who left his mirror investigation early in his career), the spirit chooses to use Annabella's shape to intimidate Yudi and make her try to deny her senses. This is the very thing that allows the demon to possess the soul of Yudi. With this, "the last rituals" makes the Yudi/Annabella connection to feel like it comes into a full circle.
Yudi's fight with Annabella paralyzes Warren's unfinished business in "Last Rituals"
For those who have not reviewed the films "Conjections" - and of course those who have not seen some or any of them before - Annabella's presence in "last rituals" can really feel distracted and unnecessary at first blush. Its inclusion may be the vest of one of the original sequel ideas, What was the "avengers"-Bitl Royal. It should also be noted that the "convincing" films have never been consistent in the spelling that exactly is happening and how; While always giving you enough information to follow the basic story, Movies leave room for much ambiguity, probably as a device to do the procedure even as stunning. However, although these are decent reasons to be annoyed and/or confused about Annabella's appearance, there is enough "last rituals" to justify the use of Annabella even without knowledge of her history with yudi. The main theme of the film includes Varens dealing with their own foli, especially their fear of their daughter's safety. Not only do Ed and Lauren irresponsibly flee the mirror demon, after meeting it, but they do so because Lauren knows it is after yudi, and he mistakenly believes that flee will prevent him from attacking her.
The addition of this mistake is Lauren's advice to the young yudi, which is saturated by her new mental abilities at one point. Lauren teaches Jududi Nursery rhyme that Helps helps exclude any sense of attacking presence, a practice that helps yudi in the short term, but in the end is just another form of escape. Because yudi is trying harder and harder to deny what her mind and body collect, she opens the back door for the mirror demon to pass her defense. In the end, all three Varence reveals that they have to face their fears, literally, prevent them from consuming their souls. So, despite the question of whether Annabella is just a pawn of the mirror demon, another Malthus manifestation, or is the mirror itself, the way different meetings with Annabella in "Last Rituals" are still perfectly understandable. Knowing the past of Annabella and Jududi serves only to make "the last rituals" even better, and allows her happy ending to feel so fuller and last.
