Blake Lively has filed a new lawsuit against her "It Ends With Us" co-star. Justin Baldonialleging that his alleged "smear campaign" had harmed her business.

The actress claims that Baldoni, his publicist and crisis PR expert, orchestrated a reputational attack that caused sales of her brands to drop by up to 78%.

Justin Baldoni has since denied the allegations and his lawyer revealed plans to release texts between Blake Lively and the actor, disputing her claims of harassment.

As previously reported The BlastLively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and creating a toxic work environment on set.

According to Daily Mailin her latest legal action, Lively is seeking "punitive damages," alleging that Baldoni orchestrated a defamation campaign that seriously affected her business.

In her original complaint, the 37-year-old actress alleged that Baldoni, working alongside her publicist Jennifer Abel and crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan, deliberately tried to tarnish her reputation.

On New Year's Eve, Lively intensified her legal battle by filing a more formal complaint, doubling down on her allegations.

While her first lawsuit was filed with the California Commission on Civil Rights, her latest lawsuit was filed in federal court in New York.

Lively claims the alleged campaign to tarnish her image has resulted in ongoing "financial damages."

In particular, she cites the backlash as a direct cause of significant declines in sales of her hair care line, Blake Brown Beauty, and her beverage brands, Betty Buzz and Betty Booze.

In Lively's lawsuit, she claims sales of her hair care brand, Blake Brown, have dropped by as much as 78 percent following what she describes as a "campaign of social manipulation."

The filing states, "Based on internal sales projections, the sudden and unexpected negative media campaign launched against Ms. Lively reduced retail sales of Blake Brown products by 56-78 percent."

It goes on to say, "This dramatic decline was in stark contrast to the high satisfaction ratings Blake Brown's products received in significant pre-launch consumer testing or its initial post-launch success."

Lively's complaint also alleges that around the same time as the "social manipulation campaigns," social media accounts for Lively's brands were "inundated with hateful comments, which began to resonate with other social and traditional media outlets."

According to Daily Mailin the new lawsuit, Lively is seeking "punitive damages" and "a money judgment representing compensatory damages, lost wages, earnings and all other sums of money," along with "interest" on the above "in the amount proven at trial."

She is also seeking "an award of money judgment for mental pain and anguish and severe and serious emotional distress, in an amount to be proven at trial."

Lively's latest complaint was filed Dec. 31, the same day Baldoni filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit The New York Times over his report covering the actress' initial allegations.

In response, the publication released a statement standing by its reporting and refuting the allegations in Baldoni's lawsuit. The publication said it intends to "vigorously defend itself against the lawsuit."

Meanwhile, Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, revealed that the actor plans to sue Lively directly.

I'm talking to NBCFreedman stated, "We plan to release every single text message between the two of them (sic). We want the truth out."

He added: "We want the documents to be there. We want people to make a decision based on the confirmations."

Lively's lawsuit included screenshots of text messages involving Baldoni, Abel and Nathan, which allegedly outline a coordinated PR effort to undermine the actress.

However, Freedman criticized the release of the "leaked personal text exchanges", claiming they lacked "critical context".

In a televised interview, he also stated that he and Baldoni intend to release the entire history of messages between Baldoni and Blake Lively.

One example cited in the case is a screenshot of an alleged conversation in which Lively informs Baldoni that she's pumping breast milk in her trailer and invites him to join her to rehearse their lines.

According to Daily Mailin the exchange, Lively reportedly writes, "Just throwing in my trailer if you want to work out our lines," to which Baldoni replies, "Got it. I'm eating with the crew and I'll be heading that way."

Freedman argues that this interaction contradicts Lively's claims that Baldoni entered her trailer "uninvited while she was naked, including while she was breastfeeding."
