Jeannie Mai reveals current dating status amid Jeezy divorce

Jeannie Mai enters 2025 with a focus on self-care and personal growth.

The 46-year-old TV personality is navigating life after her divorce from the rapper Jeezywhich was completed in June 2024, nine months after he originally applied in September 2023.

Although the details of their custody agreement remain private because their settlement is under seal, Jeannie Mai has been vocal about her journey of self-discovery since the split.

"I was just getting away," Mai sa said People Magazine at the WWD Style Awards on Jan. 3 at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles. "I spent a lot of money on myself."

In celebration of her birthday and Capricorn season, Mai treated herself to an impromptu trip to Hawaii. "I just went out there, kicked out a bunch of my girlfriends," she revealed. During the holidays, Mai also made family a priority, taking 16 family members to Disney World for Christmas.

"I feel like right now I'm celebrating all the things that I love and that love me," she said. "I feel like I'm being dated myself."

Despite the emotional blow, Mai remains optimistic about the future. I'm talking to People at the It's A Wonderful Lifetime Yuletide Event in November, she expressed her desire to leave 2024 behind and embrace new opportunities.

"The lessons from this year are the lessons for this year. I'm excited for next year. I want to learn new things," she said.

Mai emphasized the importance of listening to your inner voice as you move forward. "I'm actually listening to my feelings and not trying to prove that I'm different when your body is telling you, 'No, that's not cool' or 'That's not right' or 'That person is not safe.'"

When the rapper filed for divorce, he claimed their marriage was "irretrievably broken" with "no hope of reconciliation." Mai later alleged infidelity and described her ex-husband's "explosive outbursts", struggles with "excessive drinking" and instances of "domestic violence".

Jeezy responded by denying the allegations, calling them "false" and "deeply disturbing" in a public statement.

The TV personality and the rapper, who finalized their divorce in June 2024, were also embroiled in disagreements over financial obligations and the welfare of their daughter Monaco.

Jeannie Mai accused Jeezy of defaulting on several financial obligations.

According to court filings, she claimed he failed to pay for daycare and schooling, nor did he deposit $500,000 into an account intended for their daughter. In addition, Mai claimed Jeezy failed to pay $92,000 in rent over four months, failed to transfer ownership of two vehicles — a 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco — and owed $4,000 in tuition and child care costs.

Mai also noted that the delay in transferring ownership of the vehicle complicated her insurance plans, adding to her frustrations. The couple's divorce in 2023 after two years of marriage left their daughter Monaco at the center of contentious financial and custody arrangements.

In response, Jeezy vehemently denied the claims, describing them as "blatant misrepresentations" and an "attempt to mislead and deceive" the court. As reported by The Blast, Jeezy criticized Jeannie for revealing sensitive details of their sealed divorce settlement and claimed she presented four disputed leases without valid proof of payment.

Jeezy's legal team claimed the landlord in the leases was unavailable, and by the time the legitimacy was confirmed, Jeannie was already looking for another property. Jeezy also clarified that he had, in fact, opened an interest-bearing account for Monaco and deposited $500,000 as needed. He added that he was willing to cover childcare costs if legitimate accounts were obtained.

As for the vehicle's title, Jeezy claimed DMV delays were responsible for holding up the Range Rover's paperwork. He also stated that a 2022 Ford Bronco was ready for pickup, but Jeannie was unable to pick it up. Jeezy's lawyer described Jeannie's actions as "reckless, reckless, deceptive and criminal" and asked the court to dismiss her claim.

As she enters 2025, Mai is ready to embrace new people, experiences and growth. "I want to go into 2025 like, 'Who are these new people that God is going to bring me? What are these new situations? How are we going to deal with all the skills and qualities that I'm proud of?' And to listen to myself and learn new things."
