As a huge fan of one of The biggest sitcoms ever Made (yes, it's "parks and recreation"), who watched her seven seasons many times, I feel that Rob Lowe's character, Chris "literally" trejar, has been slightly neglected over the years. It is only possible because the sitcom shows so many beloved and unforgettable goofball (Ron Swanson!) What was difficult to stand out for any character who arrived later in the series and was not part of the Basic Roles from Get-Go. Lowe's health was first appeared at the end of the season 2, as an auditor sent by Indianapolis (along with Ben Wyatt on Adam Scott) to consider the Parks and Recreation Department and how the employees who led their funding.
At first, his character has an alarm on a corporate man who is only here to disturb the beautiful and funny dynamics that Leslie (Amy Poller) and her beloved colleagues and friends continue. However, over time, as Chris becomes a regular and vital part of the department, we quickly find out that he is also Wairo with a huge heart, relentless positivity and enthusiasm that confirms the life that makes it perfectly fit in perfectly with others. He is often too much (similar to Michael Scott of Steve Karel in "Office"), but above his intense and saturated attitude, there is a real kind man who wants the best for everyone around him all the time.
And we are happy to have this wonderful stupid character and performance of Lowe, because he could go for a completely different role in the desired medical drama.
And Rob Lowe could have been a starvet in Gray's anatomy
According to the interview, Lowe gave diversity in 2021Derek's role was offered the role of "McDrimi" shepherd in ABC on ABC Hit medical series, "Gray Anatomy". The popular show has been in the air since 2005 and is still going on (the new season will premiere in October). Lowe recalled that he refused the part that eventually went to Patrick Dempsey. Looking back on that opportunity, he explained:
"I am not as interesting as Patrick in that part in that part. If I were (fans) would not call me" McDrimi ", I would have called me Rob Lowe. If I did Grace, I wouldn't be in" parks and recreation ". Only that is enough for me.
This is what longevity, experience and recovery give you. There are no accidents. Regardless of the decision you come to, if you come from the right place, it's never okay. "
As a lifelong head "Parks and REK", I'm glad that Lowe decided not to join the "Gray Anatomy". I also believe that if he had shown Dr -Shepard, it would be another routine role for him without much challenge, playing a romantic interest and a beautiful man who made him so many times before. Treger was an unusual character that Lowe accepted, which also allowed him to be silly and eccentric, showing his comedic acting chops in a way we haven't seen before. In retrospect, I couldn't agree with the actor that this was the right call - and the real show for him at the time.
