Spoilers Next for the "Foundation" Season 3 Episode 8, "Skin in the Game". (And for the book series "Foundation", too.)

Since the first speaker Palver (Troy Cosor) faces Gal and informs her that the second foundation will not allow her to face only mule, he says something interesting about how the telepathic members of their community speak:

"On Ignis we go so much to each other, we're like one thing - a creature."

At first, this feels like a thrown line. Quick mention that you can easily miss it as a show -barrels to the latest showdown between Gaal and Mule. But that reference to be the only organism is actually a critical piece of the larger puzzle of the foundation.

Mule is one of the most exciting parts of Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" novels. But while he is the ultimate villain, he is not the end of the story. On the contrary, there are more books that follow his eventual end (which we won't spoil here - and believe me, if you don't know how the books go, the end of this man is quite unexpected). After Mule, the restart of Harry Seldon's human civilization continues, now with two foundations, first and second, clearly established and operational. In the end, the third entity enters the picture: the planet Gaia.

Gaia is inhabited by robots, like Demerzel (Laura Byrne), Which connects all to Asimov's robotic novels. These support the development of a human community of mentality that the author Asimov calls anti-mulch. The group exceeds individual ability and learns to communicate together how - do I dare to say that? - One creature. They become individual, awareness of group thinking and at the end Expand that awareness of the flora and fauna of the planet itselfturning all the work into an organism with incredible mental power.

While the second foundation is able to share thoughts and work collectively, the line of Premier Palver in the show seems to be exceeding excellent teamwork. Announces this larger collective. The question is, will we get the equivalent of Gaia in the show if it continues in the past season 3? Will a special group founded by robots will appear at some point? Or will we see the simplification of the original story? I am inclined to believe that the second basis of Igns (which is already Change from books where they are based in the imperial capital of terminus) will end up doubling as Gaia in the show. His men will become anti-mulea and eventually help manage mankind towards his next step after the millennia galactic imperial power. Of course, only time (and at least fourth season) will say.
