The controversy erupted after a woman publicly shared screenshots of what she claimed were private messages between her and Craig.

The alleged messages included financial transactions and explicit exchanges, with Megan's boyfriend Thea Stallion allegedly expressing a desire to "fuck" her and even suggesting they make a sex tape.

Following the rumours, Craig spoke out and vehemently denied the allegations.

On Saturday, the Chicago Bulls forward addressed the swirling rumors on his Instagram Stories, writing, “Ain (sic) no way people want to have that much influence (smiling face emoji). In a follow-up post, the 34-year-old shared a video showing how fake DMs can be created on Instagram, seemingly suggesting that the alleged messages exchanged with the woman were fabricated.

Craig also posted a screenshot showing repeated messages from the woman, identified as @thejasmineelizabethhhh on Instagram. In one of the alleged messages, she wrote: “I have a question for you. Will you let me come to one of your games? I'm not trying to be seen, I just want to see you and get out lol.”

Megan Thee Stallion's representatives have yet to comment on the situation.

According to the model, the alleged interactions with Craig began in May 2023 and continued until December 2024.

When one blog called her Craig's "side chick," the model hit back with a screenshot of Craig allegedly asking her to be his "wife." She captioned the post: "Nothing screams side chick about this."

Megan, born Megan Pete, and Craig first went public with their relationship in August 2024, sharing a now-deleted TikTok video. The pair were later spotted out and about in New York in September. Recently, Megan supported Craig at the Chicago Bulls' home game against the Boston Celtics, carrying a $7,200 luxury Saint Laurent fur bag.

The rapper has previously been romantically linked to rapper Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine, soccer star Romelu Lukaku and Tory Lanez. Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan during an argument in 2020.

Craig, on the other hand, was last publicly linked to reality star Nicole Zavala. He also shares a 10-year-old son named Braylon.

As the drama unfolds, fans are anxiously awaiting further clarification from both Megan and Craig.

Last year, the legal saga between Megan and Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) won fans over, especially after Lanez responded to Megan's request for a temporary restraining order (TRO). Submission comes after that Megan accused Lanez of continuous harassment from prison through social networks and third parties.

In her original motion, Megan alleged, "Despite being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson continues to subject her to repeated trauma and revictimization." The filing goes on to claim that the "continued harassment" has caused her "serious emotional distress and harm to her reputation."

Megan's legal team argued that Lanez was arming his supporters to attack her character and integrity, stating: "Mr. Peterson is fully aware of the impact of the psychological warfare he has waged against Ms. Pete, but continues to substitute his supporters for attacking Ms. Pete's character and integrity ."

Lanez's legal response highlighted California Code of Civil Procedure § 527.8, which, according to his team, prohibits courts from issuing restraining orders that limit constitutionally protected speech. The proposal states: "When a multi-million dollar celebrity backed by a major corporation disagrees with free speech or opinion, they weaponize the justice system, not realizing that public figures who have voluntarily catapulted themselves into the limelight are incapable of dealing with controversies and public opinions."

The petition goes on to claim that instead of engaging in public comment or refuting it, Megan chose to "submit to the current trend of using the legal system to try to overturn those opinions with which she disagrees."
