Florence Pugh recently discussed the challenges of filming her upcoming film "We Live in Time."

The actress recalled the physically demanding childbirth scene with her co-star Andrew Garfieldwhich she had to record more than eight times.

This comes after Florence Pugh highlighted the difficulties of being a young woman in Hollywood and the importance of standing up for yourself.

Pugh talked about the challenging, yet rewarding experience of filming the "sweaty" and "exhausting" scene with co-star Andrew Garfield eight times for "We Live In Time."

I'm talking to The sunThe 29-year-old actress explained: "I've always wanted to do a love story. You actually understand the relationship and where they are in the relationship through the style of sex they have."

However, despite the physical toll, Pugh, who portrays Almut in the film, described the experience as exhilarating.

"It was crazy, and it was amazing," Pugh said. "The only problem was I didn't have a baby coming out. So I was so exhausted and sweaty and tired and I didn't have any endorphins or anything. We worked with the midwives."

She added: "Tiring, amazing, exhausting, so beautiful to watch because it's just about life. And it was like Andrew and I were getting ready for a baby, and it was really, really beautiful. It was so emotional, it was like having a child."

Pugh also shared that during the intense birth scene, she worked with "seven strollers" and "one real-life baby" to make the portrait as authentic as possible.

During her appearance on the "Reign With Josh Smith" podcast, she opened up about entering the entertainment industry amid the Me Too movement, stressing how crucial it was for her to stand up for herself.

The actress explained: "It's very hard. And it's exhausting. It's really, really tiring. Young women in this industry have so much to fight and protect and defend and then shout. It's really, really hard. experience and that it makes you stand up for yourself."

Reflecting on her experiences, she said: "I'm proud of the stances I took, especially during the Me Too and Time's Up movements, and navigating those moments with other women was vital."

"Now I can just take care of myself, take care of my heart and where I'm at right now. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm really proud of the things I've stood for," Pugh added.

As for the progress made for women in the industry, Pugh acknowledged the improvements, but emphasized the continued need to fight for fairness and equality.

"We're in a time that's definitely better for women, but that doesn't mean you don't have to constantly fight for the things you believe are right," she noted.

Pugh continued, "I've always been proud of the way I've stood up for myself, whether it's on Instagram or in interviews. I've always been proud of the way I'm not afraid to speak up for myself."

Pugh also spoke about the importance of managing her mental health while juggling some of the intense roles she's portrayed.

Reflecting on her role in 2019's Midsommar, Pugh admitted that she felt like she was "abusing" herself due to the emotionally demanding nature of the role.

She shared, "Protecting myself is something I had to learn how to do. There were some roles where I gave too much and I was broken for a long time afterwards."

The actress specifically recalled "Midsommar" and said, "I definitely felt like I was kind of abused in the places I got to. The nature of discovering these things is that you have to say, 'Okay, well, I can't do that again. because it was too much."

"But then I look at that performance and I'm really proud of what I did and I'm proud of what came out of me. So I don't regret it," Pugh added.

Pugh discussed her decision to shave her head for her role in "We Live in the Time," where she plays a woman battling ovarian cancer alongside Andrew Garfield.

"If I couldn't shave my head, I wouldn't have accepted this film. I think it's so important that I do it," she said. Cover Media. "If you lend yourself to a story like this, if you lend yourself to a cancer story like this, I couldn't not do it."

The "Black Widow" star described the scene as a touching and tender moment in the film.

She explained: "The scene was always a very beautiful scene... This couple was making it a beautiful act that their daughter could remember and it didn't have to be a sad thing. The sun was about to come out. a chair outside."

Pugh added: "They wanted to have biscuits and tea and they all wanted to shave mum's hair and they wanted to collect it. I added a collection because I wanted to keep my hair this time."
