Following are spoilers for the Thunderbolt.

So, this came to this: I'm here to defend Marvel's film. Look, no Hate Marvel movies (despite what some think), but I proved to be mostly immune to their allure. I like some of them (hell, I even liked "winds"!), But I also agree with the estimate that we were overwhelmed with superhero movies for the last decade and wouldn't bother me if the subgene was a little rest. And yet ... I feel bad about what happened to Marvel's "thunder".

To be clear, This 2025 film was not a giant flopBut since these films are so damn expensive, the $ 382.4 million box was considered "disappointment" (side note: if anyone wants to give me a "disappointing" $ 382.4 million, I will happily accept it). Less than the desired Thunder intake is not a huge shock at this point, because we seem to have entered an era where the former MCU height could not attract as before. There was a time when Marvel's films seemed too big to fail, but the audience grew slightly.

But here's something: The Thunderbolt deserved it better. Because while I just ended up saying these films didn't delight me, I was quite taken with Akee Shreer's flick, which eventually refers to emotionally broken people virtually struggling with depression. You don't really see it in superhero -blockbusters. Now that the "lightning" is available at 4K (and headed to Disney+ later this month), I hope a larger audience gives him a recording.

Before we go further, I want to be clear: I am not saying "thunder" is a misunderstood masterpiece. The basic placement of the movie-group of rags, which must learn to become a team! - Of course he does nothing fresh and new. And yet, the Thunderbolt works because the characters, a group of B-players from other Marvel films, are easy for loved ones, flaws and all.

Florence Pug is a great actor, and she gives everyone here like Jelena Belova, the black widow's sister, who is sore and full of all kinds of self -sorry and regret. With a little help from her father (David Harbor), a failed replacement of Captain America, Johnon Walker (Wyatt Russell), the molecularly unstable spirit (Hannah Johnon-Kamen), and of course, old old Baki Burns (Sebastian Stan), who is now a Congressman, These people.

The mission includes Bob (Louis Pulman), which seems to be one of the most famous supermened creatures in the whole MCC, but who also has to deal with his own emotional luggage and mental illness.

"Thunderbolts" breeze through their duration and hammers at home the fact that all of these characters are damaged in some way, but that does not mean they are above hope. As someone who dealt with clinical depression for most of my life, I found the way "thunder" came close to the inherent sadness and loneliness kind of refreshment.

They took me especially with the movie Great climaxWhere Bob turns into a kind of physical manifestation of depression, and thunder should gather together in a big group hug to save the day (it's also interesting that another recent Disney movie, "Inside 2", has almost the same solution for climate group hugs).

So if you skipped "Thunderbolts" in the theaters and waited to check it at home, now is your chance. Take it from me, someone who doesn't like these films: this is good and deservedly better.
