Open, vague endings are a bit rarity in films outside the field of science fiction and some horror, but in television, it has become much more common in the past few decades. Maybe it's because the creator of Sopranos, David Chase, decided to finish The seminar series for HBO crime on the infamously blurred noteOr maybe it's just because it's much harder to glue the landing when telling a story about dozens or hundreds of hours against two and a half, but TV writers and creators really seem to want ends that leave big questions unanswered. It may be frustrating for some fans who want clear answers, but sometimes it works on shows that are already played with uncertain narrators that reduce audience perceptions. The vague end is totally working on something like Damon Lindeloff's subversive series of superhero "guards" or evenly Brian Fuller's crime romance, "Hannibal", But what about a little simpler crime show in action?

The drama of the creator of the series Martin Gero, "Blindspot" followed Janeein to (IMEMIA Alexander), a former naval press and a double agent, who wakes up one day completely naked, sealed in a bag in Times Square without memories. The only indications of her past and indications of solving some pretty big crimes are her numerous tattoos. That's pretty great, but when the series's final showed that Janeain got a body bag along with an alternative finishing option, he threw a few loop fans to the fate of their favorite amnesia TV.

At "Blindspot", there is a chemical compound called ZIP to be used in low doses to help those suffering from post -traumatic stress disorder to erase certain memories, but in larger doses it causes total amnesia, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, halucinations. Death seems to be just a matter of time, but hallucinations are beginning to help her solve the crime she works, and she delayed by trying in the second round of the antidote until it's too late. We see both of them in a bag of body and progress in her life after she resolves the case, and at the end of a warm and joyful dinner with friends and family, her husband Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) points out how lucky they have received the antidote, because they may not be there. Well, is she alive on the table, or dying and hallucinating her version of a happy ending?

In an interview with TVLin, Gero was asked for a definitive answer in the end and said ambiguity was completely deliberate:

"I don't think there is Proper interpretation of it. Obviously I have my intention, and the writers and I have a strong idea of what we believe. But we wanted to be a little test of Rorschac and I can't believe how effective it is. Fifty percent of people (who saw the final ahead of time) think it's definitely alive, and 50 percent of people think it's definitely dead. We wanted to be everything for everyone. "

Since most of the episode passed with wild hallucinations where she talked to people all her life, it is quite possible that it may be either alive or dead, and the ambiguity sells. The only problem is that the final is quite strongly towards Janeain to be dead.

Janeain's probable death in Blindspot is not as complicated as Raising Crash Survivor, at the end of the "lost", But understandably, fans were not fully sure whether Janeain survived or not when the creator and writers were so interested in keeping him secret.
