Hi friends! How are you? I hope you have an amazing day so far. We are officially in return to school regime here. Liv began last week (8th class! I can't even believe) and continue homes today.

For today's post, I wanted to share a little more about our plan for this year and the curriculum we do if you are curious about Homeshooling.

I think it's worth mentioning here Homeschool is not as scary as I thought it would be, Especially when we considered first. We all wish the absolute best for our children, and I really worried about not succeeding. Now that we are in the world in the house, I can tell you to progress. He learns so much and we are able to adjust her plan based on her interest and level. We are also able to progress faster, what interests to her.

Here's what we plan to work this year, but it can always change or adapt as needed.

Mathematics (30 minutes)

We continue with Saxon Mathematics and Nicole Mathematical lady Because P love her and she teaches Saxon's lesson. Her software is also taken care of by evaluation, so P tell only your answers to the platform and get a score for each task. It deals with and summary - we love it.

Reading (30 minutes)

I want to keep reading comfortable, so she chose a book we would read together and talk to how we move together. We start with Leo, witch and wardrobe.

Writing + grammar (30 minutes)

We still use grammar for grammar MasterBooksWhat is the curriculum based on faith. It contains a picture study, memorization, punctuation, spelling, dictionary, observation, songs, psalms, letters and practical application of creative writing.

For writing, we work Fables, myths and fairy tales for writing lessons from IEW. Focuses on their method of structure and style. He is currently working on reading banks, making key outlines and narration (which is able to transfer the story using their notes).

I ordered books on the fourth graders of last semester and when he finishes them, we go to books from the 5th grade.

We also work on one research work every fourth, based on interest. Her first will be about bulls after our trip to the Taurus Museum in Seville.

Social Studies (30 minutes)

I ordered several histories of books to work through and also Krpica in the lap How to draw the United States. It is excited to start with this first and mark each state, equity, rivers, etc.

Science (Friday Only)

I still work on scientific plans. Last year, the Homeland Thing happened quite abruptly happened, so we worked only one scientific project every week on Friday. I'll probably keep Friday as a day of science, but I was thinking about ordering some monthly sets. If you have any subscriber computer kits please send me your way!

Last year, we did things like the feeling of pellets of the owl, making the fallen eggs and the construction of the submarine.

Arts / Fun / PE / EXTRA (several times during the week)

This year we have some additional fun things, including a farm, which is one day each week. Just two hours and will be able to drive horses, helping animals and create art on the farm. She also has one day of Homes of domestic schools Parkour. Between these two things and her club basketball practices, she still gets a chance to be around other children and play on a weekly basis, and I'm grateful for that.

Domestic task:

We started using Khan Academy after several good friends recommended and so far pretty impressed. When you benefit, there is really no need for domestic tasks, but I wanted to keep in the slots to have * a small * homework because the plan is to return to the personal person's school. (I also feel like it makes sense because Liv has a homework every day.)

It works for homework for 20 minutes of Math Khan Academy, and then 15-20 minutes of reading, grammar or coding.

How did you find a curing a house?

Brittany It was so kind to spend a long time with me on the phone. She asked about interests P and common ideas. She felt homes for the homeland less frightening and so grateful for her advice. How long does it last up to the house?

We are able to finish everything we need to do for the day for about two hours, which leaves the rest of the day open. It can use this time to convince things in which it is interesting (like art, crochet or exercise piano) or we can enjoy a small trip or exit to the field.

How can you work from home and homes?

This is the part I'm still trying to move. I am Backim most of my content over the weekend, so I can focus on kids and household things as much as possible during the week. I also started scheduling calls for clients and podcasts when the pilot is at home, because when he is not on the trip, he is a teacher dad and can take over the duties of domestic.

I just feel like I'm moving at 1000MPH because solo parenting takes up full focus / attention / effort, and then when he's at home, I'm trying to make up everything. You just need to get a gathering of this schedule and find my slot.
