This biosip is easy to attack and destroy 15 Borg ships.

The biosip belongs to a species that Borg refers to the type of 8472 in their database. The species 8472 are powerful, psychic creatures that greet from a parallel dimension completely filled with fluid. It seems that Borg, in an effort to expand his strategy of conquering and assimilating, has opened an altercation in the fluid space, hoping to attack an alternative universe.

Borg, however, revealed that they could not cope with the power of species 8472. Their biological makeup was unlike everything they encountered, and technology was not something they knew how to assimilate it. After being attacked, aliens from foreigners, they came to our universe and left waste on thousands of Borg ships. The aliens were so powerful that Borg - in a completely uncharacteristic move - chosen to make a deal with Captain Ewenevay (Kate Mulgru). Voyager would not be assimilated, provided that Borg was allocated to an attack or early species 8472.

If Borg could not deal with species 8472, then what chance would a voyager have? They were a frightening new threat.

The species appeared only in two episodes "Voyager" after the two -piece "Scorpio", but the character remains frightening. It is worth noting that "Scorpion" ended with Vojaler hosting off drone of Borg, named Seven of Nine (Eriers Ryan) who had some problems when they joined the series. They also appeared in "Star Trek: Armada II", and later, The popular modern adaptation "Star Trek Online". In the second, species 8472 explained that they actually have a name: Unicum. This name was repeated in the 2010 tying novel "Star Trek Online: Many Needs" by Michael A. Martin. Games and novels are not official canons "Star Trek", but they can sometimes ensure a general consensus of fans.
