Jennifer Lopez she was recently mocked for her divorce from the actor Ben Affleck and the cancellation of her 2024 tour.

During an appearance on CNN's New Year's Eve special, comedian Whitney Cummings took a shot at the singer, joking that America would rather see her in a "toxic" relationship than in concert.

Cummings sang about the singer while talking to "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen.

The comedian didn't hold back as she dished on Lopez highlighting her marriage to Affleck, which ended, and her tour.

"Let me be clear: 2024 was not all negative. The media wants us to believe that this country is so divided, but we actually came together a lot this year," Cummings said. New York Post.

She added: "As a nation, we've unanimously agreed that we'd rather see J.Lo in a toxic relationship than in concert."

Last March, rumors swirled that Lopez and Affleck's marriage had hit the rocks because they hadn't been seen together in public for weeks.

For a long time, the couple seemed too busy with their careers; however, Lopez eventually confirmed the rumors when she filed for divorce from Affleck in August.

As reported The Blastthe singer cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation in the divorce documents and stated that their date of separation is April 26, 2024.

One of the big shocks following Lopez's divorce filing was the confirmation that she and her estranged husband had a prenuptial agreement before they tied the knot.

This has reportedly caused difficulties between the former couple, as Affleck and Lopez mediate their divorce and try to divide their assets fairly.

Sources said InTouch Weekly that things are getting tense months after Lopez filed to dissolve her marriage because no agreement was reached.

"It's been six months since she filed and nothing has been settled, it doesn't look like they're anywhere close to finalizing the divorce," the insider said InTouch Weekly.

The source added: "They both said they wanted to do it amicably and even talked a good game about wanting a conscious split, but it looks like that plan fell through as they can't agree on how to split things up, which of course affects things."

In July 2024, the duo put the house on the market with an asking price of $68 million. Unfortunately, months after listing the property, they still haven't found a buyer.

Last October, real estate broker and "Selling Sunset" star Jason Oppenheim noted that Affleck and Lopez's marital home would take some time to sell their mansion due to its size.

He noted that such huge properties usually take at least six months to find a potential buyer.

While talking to Realtor.comOppenheim shared, "It would be surprising if a house sold in less than 100 days," adding that "most houses of this size are on the market for six months, and in many cases significantly longer."

The real estate agency shared several factors that caused the delay in the sale of the villa, noting that the costs associated with the sale would result in fewer potential buyers.

They also found that people who can make such expensive purchases tend to hold off in the hope of getting the price down.

Another significant factor is the estimated $283,666 a homeowner would likely spend each month on taxes, insurance and homeowner association dues.

Lopez and Affleck's mansion also competes with other luxury properties in Los Angeles, making it difficult to sell.

After a year, which many consider challenging for Lopez, the singer made up her mind Instagram page to share moments from his life to end 2024.

Lopez's video recap featured highlights from cover shoots, performances, premieres and awards shows. However, she specifically left out Affleck.

Even in segments featuring her documentary, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, Affleck was surprisingly absent, despite the project being inspired by her romance with the actor.

This move by Lopez clearly shows her willingness to put the stress of her ongoing divorce behind her and start the new year fresh.
