The controversial clip shows the comedian mimicking Kardashian by trying to crawl on the floor, as the reality star did in her video while singing "Santa Baby."

Kathy Griffin has also been embroiled in a divorce battle with her estranged husband, Randy Bick, and recently admitted that their split was "a blow to me."

Griffin drew the ire of fans by posting a parody video of Kim Kardashian's "Santa Baby" music video.

The controversial comedian donned skimpy black underwear and dark heels in the snap shared on her Facebook page. The cat can be seen walking down a well-lit corridor before hitting the ground and beginning its Kardashian taunt.

Griffin then jokingly encouraged herself by saying, "I can do it." When she hit the floor, she made a painful attempt to crawl like a Kardashian, saying, "Santa, dress me up..."

Also in the clip, Griffin admitted that "this hurts" and joked that she was "cramming" before the video ended.

To caption the video, the comedian wrote: "I'm wearing this to my New Year's Eve show. Just deal with it. #64SexyAndSingle."

Griffin's prank left many fans and netizens scratching their heads as they took to the comments section of her post to slam her for the controversial clip.

"What a tragic mess! I desperately want someone to notice her again so she would post something (like) this, plus I just don't understand. Listening to her as I type this comment is unbearable," the person wrote .

Another said that Griffin "is so not funny, and never has been. Who the hell gave her the title of comedian????"

A third Facebook user wrote: "It's kind of sad that I'm so old and still feel the need to beg for attention," while another added that they thought Griffin "needs seeing a psychiatrist!"

"Tough pass. I'd rather endure double hemorrhoid surgery," another user wrote.

Meanwhile, some fans seem to have liked Griffin's video and praised her effort on it.

"I like her talking humor. She has a great figure," said a fan. Another wrote: "For 64, she looks and moves great! Go girl!"

Griffin's clip comes after Kardashian faced harsh criticism for what fans called a "weird" and "disturbing" take on the Christmas carol.

Two days before Christmas, the "KUWTK" alum took to her Instagram account to share a home video of herself crawling on her hands and knees in a blonde bob wig.

Dressed in a blue top and beige leggings that revealed her underwear, she slipped past a donkey past the Virgin Mary, Jesus falling into a fridge and a woman trimming a Christmas tree on her way to Santa Claus.

When she eventually reached Santa, she ran her fingers up his legs before the camera panned to reveal Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin dressed as Santa Claus.

The clip left many fans "confused", with one calling it "disturbing" and "absurd", especially as the reality TV star "claims to be a Christian".

"I'm tired of celebrities disrespecting Christianity," one fan wrote, while another added: "This was hard to watch. I actually feel bad for her. We may have just witnessed the fall of an empire."

A third person noted: "I thought you were Christian Kim and this video is blasphemous. Smh!"

Another fan wrote: "This was hard to watch. I actually feel embarrassed for her. We may have just witnessed the fall of an empire."

Griffin recently admitted in an interview with Page Six that her divorce from estranged husband Randy Bick was a challenge.

"Divorce is what breaks me up mentally," she said. "I thought I was going to be with this guy forever. I'm heartbroken, I admit it."

She added: "I just didn't think I'd be alone at this stage of the game, but hey, it's on me. And I guess obviously I have to (take) full responsibility."

Griffin and Taurus started dating in 2011, but split for the first time in 2018. They eventually reconciled in 2019 and married on New Year's Day the following year.

However, the Emmy winner filed for divorce from Bick in December 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

Despite her heartbreak, she told the news outlet: "I know it's a cliché. I wish him the best. I hope he meets someone else. He just wasn't the right guy for me. But he'll be good for someone else."
