I had a fun week this week. On Tuesday, I went to Casa Loma Road with my team and then returned to Casa Loma Road, a favorite local ride. This is on my upright, wearing my Si joint belt, my Si can stand it. I still stay upright a few times a week for a long time. I can also go further without any problems. I'm so happy because I'm visiting my brother in Phoenix, or other times while traveling, I like to walk a lot when bikes aren't that convenient.
My other rides and upper body workouts are going well unless on Wednesday, when I was a little focused on my heart rate during the ride. It turns out that I accidentally took extra metoprolol the night before, which put my heart rate below the range I took. My favorite is a nice steady state ride, usually around 110 average heart rate. I decided to focus on doing more and reduce the hard journey once a week. This is very similar to basic training techniques Dr. Phil Maffeonealso known as the "MAF method" (for maximum aerobic function). If I follow this letter, I should actually omit a tough day, but I want to keep the strength and speed I already have when "building the foundation" on other days. I did a "MAF timing" on Friday, which saw how fast you can do your courses while targeting maximum heart rate, which was 110 for me. I rode the A. Local route less than 7 mileswhich took 31 minutes and 45 seconds (no electric assist). The idea is to repeat once a month and if my aerobic capacity improves, the time should be reduced. It would be interesting to see how it turned out, but so far I can say it's a very pleasant way to train.
