The "Summer House" and "Southern Charm" stars, who first met during the inaugural season of Bravo's "Winter House," were together for three years before splitting.

The breakup appears to be a mutual decision, as DeSorbo shared on the latest episode of her "Giggly Squad" podcast, released Monday, Dec. 30, that she and Conover "have decided not to be together anymore."

While Craig Conover has yet to publicly address the split, Paige DeSorbo alluded to the changes they both went through during their time as a couple.

DeSorbo told the podcast co-host that she "didn't expect this."

"It's strange, it's very strange, she said. "Obviously, when we first started dating, you don't think, 'Oh, what's going to happen? Are we going to get married, aren't we?' You're just kind of in this relationship."

The Bravo star didn't reveal what caused the breakup, but it appears to have been amicable. "Not to sound traditional and old-fashioned, this is not a situation where I have, like, a 50-part 'Who the hell did I date?'" she joked. "It can't be the opposite."

DeSorbo added, "I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he's one of the best people I've ever met in my life. I'll remain his biggest fan and I wish him the best, and he's really going to get the best because he's the best, but that being said, I think it was the right decision for both of us to move forward in our lives and in a direction that we didn't push."

DeSorbo suggested that the breakup was the result of personal changes they both went through during their time together.

“As you get older, I mean, I started dating Craig when I was 29 and now I'm 32," she said on the podcast. "And your 30s, for women, I feel like are very transformative. You too change a lot and grow a lot. And him."

"It's a very sad thing," she continued emotionally. "I know I said I'd never cry on the internet, but like, it's okay if I cry on the pod. I feel like it's okay."

She also did not specify when they broke up, but emphasized that it had nothing to do with the premieres of their Bravo shows.

"I love him, I think he loves me," she added. “I think we will remain friends. Nobody did anything. That wasn't a bad thing. I think we've both been really mature about saying what we want and what we don't want, and I think that's extremely powerful to be able to say how you feel in real time and what you want for your future. ”

"He's definitely the best boyfriend I've ever had, like, I can really say that," DeSorbo said. "He was a great guy, and he did everything right, and he never made me feel insecure or anything, so it's almost harder when nobody's done anything to be angry about, and that's hard."

"I don't know where that came from, because we're together, like, every week," the "Southern Charm" star said at the time. “So, no, Paige and I are not broken up. We are still together.”

DeSorbo and Conover maintained a long-distance relationship, with DeSorbo based in New York and Conover living in Charleston, South Carolina. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in September, Conover shared how the couple dealt with the challenges of their separation.

"Really just don't let the unknown of the future destroy our happiness today. And that was a decision we had to make, and some people may not be able to do that, and sometimes it becomes stressful and difficult not to have a plan,” he said at the time.

“But in reality, we don't have to right now. With our ability to travel and our technology, we're very fortunate to be able to spend, you know, half the time in New York and the other half in Charleston," he added. "And those are two great places to live. … I think finding the right person is the hardest part, and then figuring out the rest will come with time.”
