He added, “I know people I go to college with (and) their parents have more money than I ever dreamed (and they have) real and fake. I didn't know it would be such a big problem."

Social media users flooded the comments section of both influencers, claiming that most of the items weren't actually name-brand as advertised.
“I have the original and I have the fake. I didn't know it was going to blow up the world," Darnell said Friday. “My mother gave us some real stuff and some fake stuff. I thought that was normal. I didn't want to offend anyone, but every time my mom gave me a Christmas present, I grew up to be grateful for what I got."

“I would never do that to anyone. I'm like, 'Oh, thanks. I love it.' And I'll still wear it," he asserted. "I've seen a lot of people who are uber-rich be like, 'I don't care if it's real or fake. Like, who cares?' So I didn't think it would be a problem to post it."
Darnell - who also noted that he "didn't even think to inquire" about the authenticity of each gift - also clapped back at "far-reaching" rumors about his family and their financial situation.
"I'm just going to be positive and ignore it because the more hate I get, the more money I make," he quips. "Actually, keep hating because next time, you'll buy my next Gucci bag!"
Darnell and his sister Reposted Their holiday is Saturday, December 28 and "split receipts" from every purchase.
"We have to show the tags or you'll give us the watch," quipped Darnell, holding up a Louis Vuitton handbag bought secondhand from Forward, a resale website for luxury goods.
