Sean "Diddy" Combs he reportedly had a "breakdown" at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York during the holiday season.

According to reports, the incident was sparked by the rapper's frustration at still being in jail months after his September arrest despite having a "powerful legal team."

Sean "Diddy" Combs recently voluntarily withdrew his bail appeal after being denied bail three times, guaranteeing the rapper will remain in jail until his trial in May.

On Thursday, December 26, Diddy reportedly had a breakdown because he couldn't believe he was still trapped in MDC prison months after his arrest on sex crime charges.

According to Daily Mailthe rapper expected to be out on bail by now because of the "powerful legal team" he has assembled for his defense.

However, the failure of their efforts to secure his release appears to have taken its toll on him, making "spending the holidays behind bars" a "nightmare".

It remains unclear what time of day the alleged "fall" occurred, and there have been no statements from Diddy's legal team to confirm the incident.

The rapper reportedly informed prison guards of his situation and asked to be taken to the hospital. However, Diddy's request was denied, leaving him to deal with the situation alone.

"Eventually, he was able to calm down with a meditation technique he used while behind bars," a source said of the rapper.

However, it took the rapper some time to recover as the alleged breakdown hit him deeply.

A source said: "It took him several hours of deep breathing and focus to get out of the bad space he was in, but he finally did it."

The reports follow earlier claims that the rapper faced a "dark" Christmas, including that he was not served any lavish meal to celebrate.

At the time, it was said that the music mogul would only receive "what is available to him from the MDC commissioner's list" and a very meager "Christmas or holiday sack".

Diddy reportedly looked "stunningly thinner" during his latest court appearance, where cameras were banned.

The appearance of the disgraced rapper fueled rumors that he was skipping meals, which may have contributed to his weight loss.

Speaking about Diddy's alleged weight loss, expert Levine said it shouldn't be surprising if the music mogul skips meals.

He explained that the Bad Boy Records founder might do it for his safety while in prison.
