Billie Lord Admits he feels "sad but grateful" as he marks his mother's eighth anniversary By Carrie Fisher death

Open about her complicated feelings about the tragic event, Lorde shared a throwback image of herself with her late mother as well as an emotional tribute. via Instagram Friday, December 27.

“It's been 8 years since then my mother is dead. As my son would say "That's a lot!" I always dread this day. I spend a lot of time leading up to it thinking how awful I'm going to feel,” Lord, 32, wrote, “and my fears are usually justified. I woke up this morning with a dark cloud over me. But when my children wake up the dark clouds disperse and make way for bright shining sunshine. His death anniversary is like an emotional tropical storm. She continued, "Yes, the sad weather is cold and yes I may have a pimple but I'm absolutely dancing through life (oops did I quote Wicked?). And I'm actually a better dancer with my lips. My sadness gives me all the little moments in life. Gave deep appreciation. So sad I see the magic and I know it's a part of the joy. Desire. The void. And it's a deep way of coexistence ❤️.

Since Fisher's death, Billie has welcomed son Kingston, 4, and daughter Jackson Joanne, 2, with the couple. Austin Rydell.

Fisher Died in December 2016 After suffering a heart attack at the age of 60. A day later, Fisher's mother, Debbie ReynoldsDied of a stroke at age 84.
