Moviegoers get their first glance toward Christopher Nolan's upcoming EP Through a theater teaser tied to the publication of Jurassic World Birth. If you have caught the one, you will know that there is a tried and true Nolan tradition-privilege cryptics, trailer-first trailer, meant more to tease the mood of the film than to give much to the path of plot or detail. Since Odyssey is an adaptation of one of the most famous literary works in recorded history, the spoilers of the story are not really a concern. The original trailer for hanging for "Start" lives in my mind permanently. Without words, however, it conveyed the mystery, drama and miracle of the film. It did exactly what the trailer should do - create questions and promise pleasure. "Danki" There was a very similar announcement, as well as "Tenet" and many other Nolan films. Compared to some of them, the Odyssey teaser actually looks pretty essential.

Coming out of his biggest critical success, however with Oppenheimer, the director is clearly trying to bring that reputation for epic storytelling. If you have read any version of Odyssey, you know that the story has a huge volume and I want this first trailer to keep things at the center of the main problem - Odysseus's disappearance and the question of his return home.

We all know what we generally know what will happen in Odyssey. Only the title has long been a colloquial shortcut for a long journey of any kind. But there can still be a rich drama drama from the text, and by focusing on the unresolved loss on Thelemahus's side, this early threater does just that.

There are still many questions about how Nolan will balance the various adventures, dangers and side characters looking for the story, but it is clear that the tone will be unmistakably Nolan.
