In David Carson's 1994 film "Star Trek: Generations", Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) was deposited in a mysterious time Nexus, a magical spatial phenomenon that grabs people and places them in the pocket dimension of the sky. Time has no meaning in the Nexus, which means that people can spend eternity in it, without any time to spend in the outer universe. 87 years after Kirk has been kidnapped, captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) has also been abducted, and he also lives briefly in this sky. Picard, however, has a mission to think. He must prevent a crazy scientist named Dr. Soren (Malconm McDowell) from destroying a starvet and killing millions. Since there is no time in Nexus, he and Kirk technically arrived at the same time. Picard persuades Kirk to get out of Nexus, and they are struggling with D -Soren.
In the fight, however, Kirk steps towards a rocket fashion runway and falls on his death. His last words to Picard are: "It was fun." Picard buried him under a pile of rocks, and probably leaves him there to fall apart.
Of course, Kirk has since risen in small, non-Canonian ways. In William Shatner's novel in 1995 "Return", Kirk's body is located and raised by Borg, which works under pressure from the romules (!). Recently, fans saw Kirk going through the afterlife (?) In a non-Canonian short film in 2023 called "765874: Unification". That same year, in an episode of "Star Trek: Picard", Kanonski was declared that Kirk's body was really rescued from the planet where he died, and kept in cold storage in a secret black spot.
Extrapolating from that last thread of the story, the new comic book on IDW will again resurrect Jameses T. Kirk, this time hundreds of years out of the era of "next generation". According to a new press release, the new story will be called "The Last Starsque".
The last Starswire will see Jameseims T. Kirk and his experiences with burns
The "Star Trek" comics from the IDV publishing should be noticed, they are also non-channy, so the "last arsworm" is just a provocative opportunity for the character. The comic will be written by Colin Kelly and Acksecson Lanzing, drawn by Adrian Bonilla.
According to a press release, the "Last ARSVAR" will see Kirk's body found on the black page "Starflit" and somehow risen, using ultra -advanced technology. The story is set in 3069, which is 698 years after the events of Star Trek: Generation. Kirk will resurrect only in time to witness the burns, an event described in The third season of "Star Trek: Discovery". It seems that in 3069, it will strike unusual, galaxy cataclysm. Each hipwear with a ship's crystals on the ship (meaning almost all) will spontaneously explode spontaneously. The cataclysm ends the civilization as we know, causing the federation to fall and increase the widespread, money of the trade system and slavery in its place.
The third season of "Discovery" takes about 120 years after burns. It seems that the "last arsweet" will happen properly. Kirk will obviously take over the command of the new 31st century stars, inhabited by all new characters. Worke is Kirk's job to understand the new future in which it finds itself, but also to try to keep as much of the damaged federation as possible.
This is a fun idea. Stalwart Minds will be needed after burns, so why not be Jamesimes T. Kirk? After all, we know where his body is. Surely, by the 30th century, technology has been developed to return to life.
What the authors say
Kelly, one of the writers, said the following in a press release:
"The only known person is the one you never expected to see in this era: Captain Jameseims T. Kirk. Stars'. "
The authors wanted to convince the audience, however, that the "last hipwar" would not be isolar or vague for non-treatment. Of course, Trekkies will have work knowledge of "Star Trek: Generations", "Star Trek: Picard" and the third season of "Star Trek: Discovery", but it seems that all the necessary background information will be given in Kelly and Lanzig's comic book. The only thing that readers will need to know is Jameseims T. Kirk and, well, we all know about him, right?
"The Last Stars Avisory" is set to debut on September 24, 2025. It will be the first of the new series of "Star Trek" comics by IDW publishing, a line that will include new stories inspired by "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" and "Old Trek: Voyager". Once again, these stories are non-Canonian, but it was always fun for the trays to speculate on countless "what if?" Scenarios. Comics, like video games and novels, are just more stories with our favorite characters "Trek" and we welcome as much as possible.
