Rafael Bob-Waxberg more or less He re -discovered the adult animation when he created a "colored cavalry". Where "Rick and Morti" would have affected a decade of irrelevant comedy, nihilism and parody in the animation, the "Color Konjanik" was a mature, tinted drama that had complex characters and a difficult theme. On top of that, it was a bite satire of the entertainment industry operated by an anti -heroic protagonist as attractive as Walter White or Tony Soprano (only animated and, again, horse).

Thanks to his success, Bojack Horseman has also taken the way for more dramatic American animated adult shows - a format that has previously been synonymous with the Simpsons and similar sitcoms for decades. On the eve of Bojack, we got a series of "Castlevania" and "Arcane", " as well as the excellent "undone" and "Pantheon". These were shows that they combined dramatic storytelling with action, fantasy-chorus and science, allowing them to experiment with both their format and the larger medium of animation in different ways, until their traces.

Now, Bob-Waxberg has returned with another animated show for family trauma ... just without the animals talking this time. The series is called "Short Story" and follows brothers and sisters from childhood to adulthood and everything between (their joys, sorrows, triumphs and failures). It is also the best new series of cartoons since 2025 so far, with only the first episode (shown to the attendees of the 2025 animation festival) with a brutal but brilliant turn directly from "This is Us" on Dan Vogelman.

"Short Story" is a family sitcom in the "King of the Hill" vein. Of course, this is still a Bob-Waxberg show, so there is a lot of family trauma to go around ... Or, as it put it during the presentation in Annessi, the "little" t "traumas. Focuses on Avi Schweper (Ben Feldman), as he meets his girlfriend Enen (Angelik Cabrall) with his family during his youngest brother's bar.

What makes the animated series unique from Get-Go is its use of storytelling stories. "Short Story" takes place during several different periods of time, following the brothers and brothers and sisters of chewing as children, teenagers and adults. The idea, according to Bob Waxberg, was to get the audience to invest emotionally in the characters of the series as they would see them after watching them eight or nine seasons, only with much fewer seasons containing a small number of episodes.
