Wendy Williams stuns fans in new behind-the-scenes video

Wendy Williams attended her son's graduation in Miami, Florida last week, and a new video posted on Instagram shows the former talk show diva behind the scenes.

The former host of "The Wendy Williams Show" was diagnosed with progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023 and is rarely seen outside of her treatment facility.

Wendy Williams was seen celebrating with her family

In a new video shared on Instagram by digital creator Ronald Beasley, Wendy Williams was seen getting her nails done before the ceremony.

According to Beasly, the fashionista was also looking for a new wig after not wearing a new one for over a year.

"Wendy told me it's been a year since she got a new wig," Beasly said in the video. "She was looking for a new one and Bali in Miami made one for her. She couldn't stop talking about how much she loved the wig and how it made her feel."

Williams also reportedly had pedicures and dined on fresh seafood while poolside.

Williams reportedly broke down in tears as she watched Kevin graduate from college. The 60-year-old diva attended the ceremony with her sister Wanda Finney and 93-year-old father Thomas Williams Sr.

Hunter majored in economics and focused on law school.

Beasly posted a video on Instagram with the caption, "Kevin Hunter Jr. celebrated a monumental achievement by graduating with a degree in economics from FIU. With his entire family in town to share this special moment, I was privileged to capture the love, pride and joy they shared ."

"As he sets his sights on law school, Kevin is determined to become the second lawyer in his family. We wish him the best as he prepares for the upcoming LSATs and embarks on this exciting journey," he continued.

"When Kev walked across that stage, Wendy jumped with anxiety and excitement," Beasly said in the video. "The family is full of educators, so watching this special brought Kev's aunt and mum to tears of joy. This was a confirmed family affair."

The video ended with Beasley stressing the importance of Williams being around her family.

Kevin says the isolation at the facility is "killing" Williams

According to The Neighborhood TalkKevin Hunter Jr. says his mother wants him to "come home" and that the isolation Williams is experiencing at the facility is "killing" her.

Williams was institutionalized by her court guardian, and in the Lifetime documentary, "Where is Wendy Williams?Hunter said he doesn't think Morrissey is doing a good job of protecting his mother.

Morrisey tried to block the screening of the documentary, citing Williams' privacy.

"While I'm here a quick update on my mom. She's sober and wants to come home," Hunter wrote on Instagram. "We're struggling to make it happen because Isolation kills her faster than anything else."

Williams' sister also expressed concern in the documentary that Wendy was not well cared for and said she wanted to take care of her sister at home.

Morrissy tried to block 'Where's Wendy Williams?' Documentary

Morrissy tried to block the release of "Where Is Wendy Williams?" before the premiere last February. The guardian filed a lawsuit alleging it violated Williams' privacy, but a judge dismissed the lawsuit.

One of the documentary's producers, Mark Ford, claimed he was concerned for Williams' well-being while filming in her New York apartment. Morrissey placed Williams in a care facility in April 2023.

"Shouldn't someone be here more often?" Ford said. "Shouldn't there be someone filling the fridge and checking on it every day?"

According to Beasley, Williams wanted to eat Jamaican food after her son graduated, so the family went to Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami after the ceremony for dinner.

Beasley said the family had a good time and noted that Williams rapped songs "word to word" throughout the evening.

"I wish we could see more moments like this with her family," Beasly added.
