According to Daily MailJay-Z is reportedly willing to do whatever it takes to defend himself against rape allegations, including ending his relationship with fellow rap mogul Diddy, who is also named in the case.

A source told the outlet that the Roc Nation founder has "zero loyalty" to Diddy and won't hesitate to throw him "under the bus" if it means clearing his name.

The insider further explained that Jay-Z had already shown his intentions by distancing himself from Diddy when the rapper was arrested on sex crime charges in September. They added that any legal action Jay-Z is currently taking is solely aimed at protecting him.

They added: "The only thing he cares about is never stepping foot in a jail cell and keeping his family safe. Jay-Z is extremely powerful and will use any tactic necessary."

During a press briefing in New York, Jay-Z's lawyer, Alex Spiro, was asked about the rapper's relationship with Diddy and whether he plans to talk about it.

However, Spiro claimed that Jay-Z and Diddy do not share a strong bond beyond working together and that the Tidal founder knows nothing about Diddy's legal battles.

"Mr. Carter has nothing to do with Mr. Combs or Mr. Combs' case," said attorney per CNN. "They have known each other professionally for many years. As in all professions, people know each other. At music awards, they support each other."

Despite Jay-Z's plans, Diddy reportedly hopes his fellow music mogul will win the case.

According to an insider, the Bad Boy founder believes Jay-Z's victory would not only help clear his name, but could also set a precedent for other civil sexual assault lawsuits he's currently facing.

"Diddy enjoys Jay going up against the same person who accuses him of any wrongdoing," the source said. "Because if Jay succeeds, it will help Diddy tenfold."

They continued: "Diddy has an endless mountain to climb, but every small victory can only lead to bigger ones. Diddy is very happy not to be fighting it all alone."

Jay-Z and his legal team have already taken advantage of his accuser's admission of inconsistencies in his claims.

They filed the motion, claiming the rapper's accuser could destroy evidence in the case after she admitted she was wrong in her allegations, according to Fox News Digital.

In the filing, they urged the court to compel Jane Doe and her attorney, Tony Buzby, to "preserve all evidence relevant to this case."

They also criticized the claims as "completely unreliable" due to these inconsistencies by the anonymous accuser.

"The time frame, location and occurrence of the events alleged in Plaintiff's complaint are precluded by this admission," Jay-Z's attorney Spiro wrote in the documents.

He continued: "Taken into consideration, the factual inconsistencies, the impossibility of the timeline and the lack of corroborating evidence render the prosecution's allegations ... completely unreliable."

As the case continues, the identity of Jay-Z's accuser remains unknown, despite the rapper's best efforts to force the court to lift anonymity.

The plaintiff filed the case anonymously through Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, as permitted by law.

However, Jay-Z has filed to change the status quo, citing the significant damage the alleged victim's accusation has done to his "impeccable reputation."

"Fair is fair," reads the filing filed by the Roc Nation founder, per TMJ. "It is inconsistent with justice, equity or the rules governing federal procedures for the plaintiff and her counsel to disparage (Jay-Z's) good name."

At the time, the rapper also claimed he was named in the plaintiff's lawsuit because he refused to be extorted.
