On the less dramatic, yet fun front, the NCIS season 23 may be ready to reconsider Essesica Knight's turbulent attitude (Katrina's law) and Jimmi Palmer (Brian Ditten). After Dittensen's comments to TV lineThe future of the occasional couple is very in the air, but he would very much want to continue to explore:

"I suppose they have a plan. And whatever is in that plan, I think it will be fun. I think, whether they come back together, who knows? But those scenes will be filled with some interesting things."

Season 23 of NCIS will almost certainly characterize all the main characters who are either active team members or float in their immediate orbit. Although the cast is yet to be officially confirmed, you can almost certainly expect Alden Parker to Gary Cole, Katrina, Essesica Knight, Nicholas Torres of Wilmer Valderama, Timothy McGee at Wilmer Valderama, and the rest of the reaction team to make a return.

On the other hand, the rebuilding of the spin-off means that longtime Starwarr Mark Harmon (which currently tells the Prequel series "CSI: Origins") is even more likely to continue its absence than it was before. Season 22 of NCIS marked a monumental change in the status quo when it comes to Leroy Ethetro's successor on the show, NFIS's special oversight agent, Alden Parker. The character started his monumental task to collect where Gibbs left things in season 19, and performed quite admirable. Parker may occasionally have a temper, but in general, he is significantly nicer and more ground than his predecessor. This has helped Parker be different from Gibbs, who is not only his predecessor, but also the single of the most iconic character on the show.

However, if the comparative lack of a hard edge of the former FBI agent, he inflicted on some viewers in the wrong way, the NCIS Season 2 took steps to add a little steel to Parker's spine by having a mysterious striker (who is all but confirmed to be the death of Parker. This plot turnaround is likely to have serious consequences for Parker and his team in the 23rd NCIS season.
