Netflix posted a new video on Instagram on Friday to promote the streamer's new movie, "Back in Action," in which he stars Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. The action film will begin streaming on Netflix on January 17.
The video features Foxx playing a baby piano while belting out "Back in Action," while Diaz danced wearing a fabulous strapless striped jumpsuit.
The post was titled, "Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx musically reminisce about their friendship. BACK IN ACTION premieres January 17."

Diaz and Foxx have worked together before and have been friends for 25 years. They starred together for the first time in the sports film "Any Given Sunday" from 1999 Al Pacino. The duo also starred together in the 2014 remake of "Annie."
"People don't even realize how long we've been friends," Foxx said. "True. Since we were in 'Any Given Sunday' together, which was in 1999," Diaz replied.
"And now we're back in action, honey," she added.
Foxx began improvising a song about the Netflix movie and sang, "Back in action, and we're friends, before Apple started making iPods, and now they make iPhones, not iPods," he joked.

Jamie Foxx jokes about Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg
As Foxx continued to sing about the Netflix movie, he managed to make a joke about the rapper Snoop Dogg and his friendship with a lifestyle guru, Martha Stewart. Stewart became good friends with the "Gin and Juice" artist after meeting on her cooking show "The Martha Stewart Show" in 2008.
Foxx continued to play the piano as Diaz said, "Tell them what else happened, Jamie." The "Ray" actor sang his response.
"What also happened was that Martha Stewart became super in love with weed and became her best friend SnooooooooopSnoop Dogg is well known for his fondness for marijuana, and a puff of smoke appeared on camera as Diaz chronicled what else has happened since 1999.

Cameron Diaz has done four 'Shrek' movies
The song continued as Diaz recalled that she had done four "Shrek" movies. Diaz played Princess Fiona in the animated films.
"I made four Shrek movies," she said. "We also did 'Annie' together," Foxx said while Diaz added, "That's right."
"And we've been through so much," Foxx continued. "We've lived through Keyboard Cat, Pizza Rat, NFTs, DVDs, Corn Kid, Bean Dad, Salt Bae, Left Shark, Pink Sauce, Grimace Shake and 'The Dress'."
"Oh yeah, which was white and gold," Diaz said as Foxx hit a high note and sang, "I thought it was black and bluuuuuuu."
Diaz continued, "And now we're back together for another movie, and I'm so excited."
"Yeah. Because..." Foxx replied before singing, "We are in action again.'"

Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz Play Ex-Spies in Netflix Movie
According to PEOPLEIn the film, Foxx and Diaz play a married couple who worked for the Central Intelligence Agency.
After starting a family, the ex-spies are "drawn back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown." The trailer shows the duo in a fiery scene at a gas station.
"Okay, you know I love our life," said Emily, Diaz's character. Foxx's character Matt responded, "But?"
"Something clicked tonight," she added as a scene of the pair fighting two men was shown.
"For the first time in a really long time, I felt alive again. I felt like a bitch again," she continued.
The trailer also shows the couple explaining to their children that they are ex-CIA operatives, prompting one of their children to ask, "Like Jason Bourne?"

Jamie Foxx had a stroke while filming a Netflix Movie
In April 2023, Foxx was in Atlanta filming scenes for "Back to Action" when he got a headache. He started asking friends for aspirin before he passed out.
Foxx discovered the nature of his health scare in his Netflix special, "Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was..." and said he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke. He was immediately operated on and spent 20 days without consciousness. When he woke up, he couldn't walk.
The Oscar winner recovered in a rehabilitation facility in Chicago and learned to walk again. In his special, he said that comedy helped him heal. "If I can stay funny, I can stay alive."
